What's in the solution? And how much mhrb? It's probably not naphta right? Naphta doesn't freeze.
That's shat I thought as well. But yes it's naptha that sat for a week over a concentrated solution of mhrb and lye. What I did was beat the rootbark with a hammer, one kilo. Submerged it all in a half gallon of distilled water and froze it solid. Thawed and removed from the water to do a coarse grind and added back to the water adding another half gallon. Froze it solid again and thawed it. Froze it solid one more time and broke up the slab and did a fine grounding adding another gallon incrementally as I ground each frozen chunk until I had half of a four gallon stainless steel pot full of what looked like dirty whipped cream that turned deep purple after half an hour and separated into three distinct layers within an hour. I then separated the clear purple layer from the pulp layer and the lavender layer of insolubles. I basified both containers the clear stuff and the combination of pulp and insolubles . That is what I got after basifying some of the clear purple layer and adding naptha but forgetting about it for a week because I'd just gotten a new induction cooker for the naptha extraction part. So that's what the naptha did after freezing after being drawn off the top of about half a quart of freshly basified concentrate.
