I've been doing a lot of thinking on what this community means to me. Everyone wants to be a part of something bigger than themselves, people join churches, people join bowling clubs, gay people join gay communities,chess players join chess clubs, you get the idea. Community is something we all need on a basic human level but this community is different from anything else for a very special reason.
I know in my own life journey everything changed for me the moment I blew out my first big hit of dmt as I'm sure it did for many of you here, at this crucial moment in my life I realized we are all connected as one universal consciousness. I still have the hastily written notes in my note pad that I wrote down as soon as I could manage a pen after the session, it reads 'we are all one thing' 'not just life, everything' 'love others as yourself' to harm others is to harm yourself'.
These are the basic teachings of the Buddha, Jesus Christ and the new age movement witch I had no interest in before smoking dmt, I had never even heard of the idea that we are all one before that night. I realize this was a subjective experience that is not verifiable using the scientific method witch many of you are so quick to point out and thus rambling on about it does nothing for no one really, as trav pointed out it is philosophical masturbation and that's very true so all anyone can and should really do is mention these insights in a trip report and be done with it.
That being said many members here have had the exact same insights and other people I know have experienced this 'enlightenment' through meditation. To quote Terrence mckenna who quotes P.W. Bridgeman in one of his lectures ' coincidence is what you have left over when you apply a bad theory' and because we cant objective prove these deep understandings we can believe them (witch I and I'm sure many of you do) .....Okay THAT all being said back to 'community'.
The dmt nexus has helped me as much as the dmt experience has for a number of reasons, Its helped me develop patience and humility, friendships and a sense of brotherhood with all of you and the list goes on and on. I realize some of you may not feel the same way and that's fine, we are all different. so to those I may offend with some posts I apologize and for the times I have broken the rules or protested them I'ts important for you all to know that I take nothing personally and I hope none of you have as well.
Its also VERY important to me that I'm in the travelers good book as god knows that getting booted from the chat the other day and threatened with permanent banishment from the nexus if I ever break the rules again ( knowing how forgiving and solid the traveler is with genuine well meaning folk I doubt would happen, and please don't take that like I intend to break rules because I absolutely do not and will not again) was a big wake up call for me that we are all here at the travelers pleasure and I know that personally I would be lost without this community.
So following the damn rules(witch aren't perfected yet but are the best we have atm) that were implemented and refined by people way more intelligent than myself seems to be the basic logical response imo. So again thank you all for being as family to me and If any of you ever need anything please let me know as It would be my pleasure to help you. To those few ppl that know my real identity whom I intend to meet in person please tell any other nexus family members you know to add me as a friend on facebook (before you lurch forward in your chair a1pha realize that I've put a lot of thought into this and think the slim chance of 'getting busted' is far outweighed by the gain.
