awaking tripping

Last night I awoke in bed, actually I was in a dreamy in-between sleep and awake state. The whole room was spinning above me, a complex electrical tinge sourounding it. It seemed as if I was rolling on a spinning disc that was wobbling from side to side, as I lay in bed. I then drifted off back to to sleep.

Last week I awoke in the same in-between sleep and awake state. The view of the room was a complex unfolding from within me, it was complex, detailed, and trippy. Then I drifted off back to sleep.

I've never had anything like these experiences (except DMT). I was definately awake, although semi-conscious. The experiences were distinctively trippy, and totally unlike any dream or experience I've had other than DMT. They were distinctively recognizable by me as DMT tripping.

I havn't smoked DMT for like 2 months. i think about it though.

Have I triggered my own bodies DMT by thinking about it, smoking it?

Sounds like a somewhat common "hypnogogic" (probably spelled wrong) state.
Somewhere between sleeping & waking consciousness, where the two seem to blend. A lot of people experience this state of mind when they suddenly wake up, just as they are about to make the switch from waking consciousness to dreaming consciousness. The part of the brain that does the thinking wakes up suddenly, but the part of the brain that controls the body takes a few sec/min to catch up.

Some folks report being paralyzed, unable to move for a short time, until the body realizes it supposed to be awake.
Some report other people, or "entities" in the room with them, swirling colors, and/or objects that should not be there & eventually fade away, or disappear suddenly.
There is a common one that's been reported for a long time, that people call "the old hag" where the person awakens in this state, unable to move & struggling to breath because of a heavy weight on they're chest, when they open they're eyes they think they see an old, creepy, "witch-like" woman (or "old hag"), sitting on they're chest, staring at them, right up their face!!
Obviously this causes the person to panic & freak out!! Soon after, the "old hag" & the other effects fades away.

At all familiar? (at least the first part...)
