Ayahuasca brew help needed! ! ! !

Hello fellow space travelers... I have been running into some issues with my ayahuasca brew... however, I feel like you guys need some background on my situation before the solution can manifest.I made my first brew a few years ago.. I used the recipe from ayahuasca info.Com the first time I used all the right amounts, didn't filter as much as I should of... but I washed 12g of mhrb and 50g of banisteriopsis cappi (red vine vine)separately 3 times each in a liter of water in each pot with a teaspoon of vinegar. The result's were unbelieveable. I literally cried tears of joy as my mind left my body. However, since then I've tried 3 washes recently. One of them I remember why it went bad. The other 2 are troubling me though.. I have done everything as close to what I did the first time as possible.. although I used different pots, they might not have been stainless steel. The Recipe Said to use stainless steel pots only. Is it a big deal? And I used a different vine, I used banisteriopsis muricata (black vine).. also the pot I used didn't fully cover the black vine now that I think about it.. I stirred often though... any thoughts, advice, and feedback would help

In regards to the kind of pot, I'd just stay away from aluminum.

I'm glad to hear you had an awesome experience! Especially with that dose of mimosa... Luckily the dose of vine was quite low, otherwise that may very well have been really overwhelming. 3-5g of mimosa is a more reasonable range with a full dose of vine. A lot of mimosa is 2% DMT content, so potentially a 12g brew could have over 240mg DMT, which is a ton. So much depends on the dose of vine though. When you find people needing 100+mg DMT, they usually just are taking non-psychedelic doses of caapi vine with it. Which is fine if that's what they want to do. But with a truly psychedelic dose of vine, even just 2g of mimosa is often plenty.

Your brewing method may have been one reason it wasn't too overwhelming as well. How long did you do each boil for? Then again sometimes the plants do seem to have some way of being gentle about it when people go consuming way more than is usually necessary.

Anyways, as you'll find throughout the forum generally for caapi vine the standard brewing is 3 boils, each 3 hours long. With mimosa, 3 boils each of 30minutes in length seems plenty.

Hey there universecannon, thank you for your response, as for the pots, why should I stay away from aluminum pots? (Just curious as to why).. as for the washes, I washed the mimosa 3 times about 2 1/2 hours each time.... same thing for the vine.. simmered not boiled (of course).. as for the mimosa dosage.. was I really overdoing it by that much?? I had no idea!! And also, what then is your recommended amound of cappi? And a ratio for water and vinegar would be much appriciated..

Just use enough water to cover the material. Coming up with a ratio for this sort of thing is over thinking it. Vinegar isn't really necessary either but if you want to add a dash that's up to you.

No offense taken haha.. I'm still new to this world so any patience is greatly appreciated lol. How do I check out your signature? And what is it? Lol. Also can I get a recommended quantity for the vine? If I was under doing it by that much, I'd like to know what you deem appripriate.

Whatever works for you. 50g is fine but definitely on the low side (unless it's freakishly potent vine, very rare). 100g+ isn't uncommon for full on psychedelic doses of vine. Potency varies a lot. Please just do a bit more research as this info is everywhere.
