ayahuasca goo

staresatwalls

Rising Star
i remember reading on here somewhere about a play-do consistency ayahuasca goo that you just pinch off a dose and swallow but can't for the life of me find it. so can someone show me the thread or can someone answer the question can you boil down ayahuasca to a goo and eat it? or if there are any other ayahuasca goo methods

-Interesting point. I was talking to a shipibo indian lady in the centre of Pucallpa, Amazon , Peru today. She also told me that they sometimes boil it down to the point of a gum like substance. Said that she would take a bit of that if the Ayahuasca shot was weak, and actually said it was a better way to take it.

Interesting..

what about further drying the goo, scraping it up and using for pharma? (this would avoid dissolving fb caapi alks in oj).... you could even do the same with the mimosa tea if you wanted

One of the guy's staying in San Francisco Peru with me has some of this goo. His complaint is that it cant get dry enough to actually handle or roll into balls like san pedro resin. Its a pain in the ass to dose with and its horrid taste that just clings all over your mouth trying to eat or swallow it. He has resorted to adding some hot water to it and drinking it as normal.
The goo is pretty easy to find out here in the markets but doesn't sound too appealing. I played with it with a spoon and it would be impossible to put it into capsules cleanly. you would just end up with goo all over the outside of the capsule, your fingers, the spoon ext. the goo out here quite messy stuff but sounds good on paper.

couldn't one mix in and coat in powdered sugar like i do to other balls of goo?
possibly but its like thick honey so it would take a lot of powdered sugar. plus sugar is believed to effect the ayahuasca experience. But ill pass this on to my friend and see what he thinks. My fist thoughts is that its just too gooey but maybe flour or starch may be a better option.

to be honest I would just avoid this..it does not sound like a great method and maybe it is just me but I cant understand why anyone would want to cap ayahuasca. Anything that is so thick that it is a resin IME takes longer to absorb in the guy so the experience is somewhat muted, and the slower release makes it last longer. Some might want a longer experience but personally I dont care for that. Anyone who has gone over the edge enough times I am sure can understand this. I can imagine someone eating this stuff, wondering why it is not hitting like a liquid brew does(slower onset) then eating more thinking they took too little then being stuck in something they did not ask for for hours.

The best and most potent brews I have ever worked with are the very thick brews that are like liquid carmel. You have to dump the shot glass upside down to get it all out, and it is still liquid but so thick that sometimes you have to actaully lick the rest out of the cup or off of a spoon etc.

Personally I would not reduce a brew down any more than that..but that is just me and I do not like eating resins.

Good points Jaime people are often trying to get around the taste of aya. I remember the ridiculous thread's about making aya lollipops or freezing ayahuasca into cubes to be swallowed. People, its really not the end of the world! Its not like eating moose balls on Fear Factor back in the day. Its bitter as hell, the taste is fowl but the whole drink experience lasts for seconds. Its bitter, deal with it. You will shutter maybe gag, but you will live and its over in 10 secinds.

noted. when i eat mescaline it's usually a few combined alcohol pulls of t. bridgesii skins into a goo eaten in balls. would the same apply to the balls of full spectrum mescaline? that being that a liquid would be better

Hrm, I have evaporated a dose of aya into instant-coffee like crystals in the fridge. Didn't have any goo, really. I am evapping 6 med-strong doses of CWE mimosa in a food dehydrator as we speak: I will report back if I have any goo issue.

really? that interesting, how did you get aya to coffee like crystals? did you use a food deyhdrator for that as well? I never thought of using one but thats a really good idea.
Please do report back the results that would make for a new way to take pharma.:d

I am running an evap in a food dehydrator right now. Don't know how that will turn out yet.

The crystals came from a long term experiment I ran in the back of the fridge in an open pyrex measuring cup. That formed the powder, but it took about 3 months. 😉

thanks jamie. that's the one. it sounds nice to be able to do. just doing aya on a whim without having to brew all day or worry about your frozen aya lasting.

i tried this with one shot of aya and man was it a mess, it didnt even reduce it that much, it simply made my shot a half shots worth of oily resin, very very unappealing

hello all

I've had traditionally prepared mel from the Brazil/Peru border, and

1) a normal strong dose is 20-25 mL - basically, a shot
2) It is not sticky, but very thick
3) It is not unpleasant to taste like normal ayahuasca; it reminds me of liquor, like a thick port wine.
4) Chacruna makes it slightly sweet.

So, I think further methods of making it more gooey are not that necessary, since it is pretty good as is.
