Ayahuasca molasses

(:Hulius:)

Esteemed member
Hello Nexus,

it has happened to me to come across an ayahuasca molasses.

I've had the pleasure of tasting a little bit of it and it was very peculiar: it was sweet, with an aftertaste of tonka beans and herbal notes.
It was thicker than honey and sandy in the mouth.

It has been said to me that it comes straight from the jungle.

I would like to recreate it one day as an aya analogue, with rue and admixtures.

Has anyone on here had the opportunity of working with something similar?

Has anyone worked with aya pastes or resins, even without admixtures like sugar or herbs/spices?

I am always struck by the flexibility of this wonderful tools!!!☀️

You mean ayahuasca in form of a paste?
I think it's a residue or resin prepared from normal brew, made by evaporation of most of the water.
My experience is that some commercially available paste products are very weak and unreliable.
Ayahuasca can be quite sweet, there is some amount of natural sugars in it.

Yeah, in form of thick paste, but what hit me was the taste, really slightly bitter if not bitter at all but sweet, really slightly astringent.

For this reason I thought that some sugar had been added.

Why do you say they're weak and unreliable? Isn't the dehydration process making them more reduced, therefore stronger? And shouldn't it extend the shelf-life?

Does anyone know what the addition of sugar could contribute to the pharmacodynamics when ingesting a brew? Like faster/slower onset, more/less nausea, more/less energy during the experience, etc.?

Thanks☀️

I just wanted to mention that these paste forms are quite popular commercially, but are often weak, obviously low quality products.
Ofc, If you use good quality starting material, your paste will be potent, it's more concentrated product and also more convenient form for storage.

I personally always add some honey to mushrooms tea and sometimes also sweeten ayahuasca brew with some fruit concentrate/syrup, it seems to help little bit with absorption, improve stomach feelings and provide some energy into experience, definitely recommend it.

Oh ok, so it depends on the material and on the intentions of the maker, good to know, I thought that maybe if it was reduced too much it would loose potency.

Thanks for the sugary tip haha, the next time I will be brewing I'll let everything evap to a molasses and let you know how it goes!!

How about evaporating most of the water and then mixing the residue with honey?

Now I'm thinking about mixing harmalas alkaloids and DMT with honey for easier dosing. Has anyone tried that?

Yeah, I was thinking about something like that but with cane sugar. Adding it in the end and simmering untill it's thick enough.

Are you talking about adding the isolated compounds directly to honey? Pharmahoney?

Sounds potentially very good. If you get an unrefined block (panela), the result may be a solid, and it would be practical to handle.

Yes, I'm having pharmahuasca lately and I think in honey it could be easier to measure, handle, and eat.

Can you explain for me what exactly your taking as far as ingredients and ratios for the pharmahuasca.

I will, but bear in mind that it varies A LOT from one person to the next, some people need much more or less than others. So be cautious at first.

My sweet spot for an intense experience with the possibility of sometimes disconnecting with the body when redosing is taking 230mg harmala freebase (from rue) and then 40mg DMT freebase after waiting for 30 minutes. Then, on the comedown from those 40mg, another 30mg DMT freebase. I take both the harmala freebase and the DMT freebase dissolved in orange juice, so they are actually in salt form when I drink them, due to the acid in the orange juice.

I just had a really good vaporhuasca session, 40mg harmaline Hcl sublingual waiting an hour and then just adding dmt vaporized as needed to roll through the night. went for about 2.5 hours. when you do yours are you just taking the harmala freebase putting it in OJ and drinking it? Empty stomach? how have you prepared your body? Also has it ever felt out of control? Is there a lag period between the harmala and the dmt? do you stagger them?. Lots of questions thank you for your patience.

Yes, after making sure that they have dissolved (that is, turned into salt form). I have a slice of bread after the DMT to make sure digestion is triggered.
Empty stomach? how have you prepared your body?
Empty stomach or at least haven't eaten in a few hours with the last meal having been light. In my last experience I had eaten too much and I paid the price with stomach pain. Other than that and being relaxed, I don't do anything in particular to physically prepare.
Also has it ever felt out of control?
Well, it depends on what you mean. I have never felt "in control" of it, but it also had never felt like it might spin out of control. The harmalas barely let me walk, so in that way I feel safer than with other psychedelics, I can only lie down and focus on the experience. Often, the harmalas also seem to have a protective emotional effect, where even intense negative emotions are felt with some distance, like contained.

Yes, I usually wait 30 minutes. People wait between 20 and 60. Some people don't wait at all, but then you have more chances of a reduced effect. Also, I find that the effects of harmalas prepare me before it gets intense.
Lots of questions thank you for your patience.
No problem! Happy to help :)

Thank you for the answers, I wonder have you done vaporhuasca? and if so how would you rate and compare them. also how much time between sessions do you give yourself? What an amazing molecule with one thing you can have vastly different experiences that you can use for what you need in that moment. Since I have found harmaline freebase and Hcl I it really feels like one tool turned into a toolbox.

No, not yet. For the time being, I prefer a longer experience. I will try it at some point in the future for sure.
also how much time between sessions do you give yourself?
For the last three months, I have been taking it on a weekly basis. I would say that's very frequent, so probably at some point I'll start waiting two or three weeks in between.

Yes, there really seems to be no limit to its depth.

How long between reloads? I just did vaporhuasca and I went a solid 2.5 hours. What is the total time you are in ?
Thanks again for being so open friend.

How long between reloads?
In my case, usually around 2 hours. But I just wait until it seems that I'm reaching the latter part of the comedown, instead of at a set time.
What is the total time you are in ?
Around 5 hours with 2 doses. But that varies a lot, my girlfriend for example is there for 4 hours with a single, 200mg harmalas + 30mg DMT dose.
Thanks again for being so open friend
No problem! :)
