Migrated topic.

wish it was all that easy...really do...etc.

No need to be concerned. I wasn't really asking for any, and I'm well aware of the rules here. I was merely responding to your quoted question with an "obvious" answer. Thought I was being funny....OK, well, at least amusing. What this forum needs is a "tongue-in-cheek" smiley so that one can be better understood when one is being facetious.

yeah. does seem that way. many things said in jest can be taken wrong via reading texts. just wanted to clear it all up because there was a little commotion. know what i mean bro?

thanks for that little tidbit vovin! that does help. good thing this pic wasn't taken where i am. never knew that though, thanks man. could come in handy down the road...

technolgy: the most double edged sword...

Another good thing was that this image was attached to a post. If you attach an image to a post it is uploaded to the forum and any .jpg file the forum shows as an attachment has it's additional data (exif) removed, another protection from the DMT-Nexus. :d

(Any external image, thus the non attached ones that are embedded with the img tags, in a post is left alone by the forum software, so those images you should sanitize yourself!)

Kind regards,

Here's a article on it kind of creepy if you think about it:
I always take a screenshot of the photo and photoshop it to ensure that no information can pass over other than the image. It works well as there can be stuff that even the public does not know about.

Yes, the iPhone can store that data if the GPS is on. A less exact location is stored when no GPS is available (based on the cell tower the phone is connected to).

Just to note: I also changed the forum software that ANY jpg or jpeg image that is uploaded, by attaching it to a post, is tripped from the exif data. No images stored on the DMT-Nexus database (by attaching it to your post) has it's exif still present.

And again, externally linked images are not processed by the DMT-Nexus server so you have to sanitize those yourself!

Kind regards,

The Traveler

Heh. I Photoshop all my uploaded images, too, but not for the reason stated by Vovin (although, had I known...). I do it both to re-size and reduce the file size using the "save for web" option - simply as a courtesy to those who may not have a high speed connection.

Yes, I most certainly do. I have enough trouble being understood in a face-to-face conversation! Sorry for any consternation I may have caused. Not ready to fall on my sword and do the "mea culpa" thing, 'cause I suspect SOME people got what I thought was an obvious joke...but yeah, it wasn't all that clear, I guess.

Best to all, with my apologies to some!

Woah, SWIM has been getting those exact same "blue star" blotters for over a year now.

I hope I am not breaking the rules by asking if the blue shivas print and the print with Alex Grey's 'The Nature of Mind' with Ganesha on the back are comparable in potency. Or if they are good doses?
