Best lye A/B tek?

What do you think is the best A/B lye based DMT tek?
Purity of product, high yield and naphtha efficiency are priorities.

I've used q21q21's tek with great results but just out of curiosity I would like to compare lye and lime teks results.

I don't think we have a up to date A/B TEK. If you don't mind excessive NaOH amounts BLAB is best.

I just use a slightly different version of marsofold's tek. Because I don't have a crock pot, I do extra boils with more liquid than specified. Usually 4/5 boils with 1,500ml of water and 250ml of vinegar for 300g of bark. I use less water and vinegar for boils 3, 4, and 5. I then combine them and reduce it all down to about 600ml of liquid and add 70-80g of lye to 200ml of water and mix it all in a 2 pint milk jug. I then do 2 100ml room temp pulls, followed by 2 or 3 75ml warm pulls.

I love A/Bs because you work with such a small amount of liquid compared to STB's. I have yet to try q21q21's tek though.

Thanks kermit, now that ill have a sep funnel, i was wanting to do the same wiht more than 100g. I like that in salt form its more heat resistant and you can reduce a larger amount then add base as needed. i was palnning on adding lye dicrect to water though not making more fluid by having separate liquids to add up.

I'm in a similiar boat right now. I've used q21q21's tek 1 to good effect and that's the only tek I've done so far. But now I come across some lye and it's just sitting there.


I'd like to make use of that lye. Also, I have a quart or two of methanol leftover from my bio-diesil making days....my preference is petro-chem free, but the methanol is here, might as well do something with it.

Where can you get these chlorinated hydrocarbons? What are they commonly called?

DCM, Dichloromentane. As to where to get it, lets just say you won't find it in a hardware shop. Other than that, I can't help ya.
