Best way to store? Bark form or freebase

SWIM recently aquired a good quantity of MHRB and is very new to all of this and taking it very slow. So far he has only extracted two grams and so far is extremely happy with the potency of his yields and feels that, for the foreseeable future he won't be in a place in his life where he can explore hyperspace very often. With this in mind he knows this massive quantity of 2 grams will last him a long time so he's wondering whats the better way to store his lifetime supply? Should he extract it all and store it? The problem he fears with this is that he won't have access to a refrigerator but is located in a mild climate. He wonders also if the bark might degrade or be open to molding or other harmful bacteria in the air, even though it's bagged up in a dark cool dry place. He appreciates any advice.

The best way to store would be to extract it all and convert it to dmt fumarate salt form, it will be stable for many years in that form and a small amount can easily be converted back to freebase when required for smoking.

Bark will stay good for quite some time also if stored in the freezer and exposed to minimal oxygen.

I've had freebase stay potent wrapped in tinfoil and placed inside a glass or plastic sealed container, remain high quality white/yellow color with little or no visual oxidation, and remained potent as was before, and it was left in the tinfoil/jar for over 1 year.I know its not a long time frame, but it gives you an idea.

Freebase, bark, or long term, i would get a decent hermetically sealable bag/container, get a vacuum sealer (or just the sealer ($10) without vacuum and diy a mild vacuum via an easy trick i have tried successfully, vac bags (smaller the better, cheap on ebay), and a bag of 100 or so of silica moisture dessicants 2g, and oxygen absorbers 100cc.

fill the container, but dont seal it fully, toss an o2/h20 dessicant each in the bag with the container, and squeeze most of the air out. Seal the bag near the top.

Let it sit overnight (drys out the internal bag/container/compound), then while still in the sealed bag, tighten the cap on the hermetic container, or the hermetic internal bag, and run theouter bag through the back of the sealer.

Snip off a corner of the top of the bag, suck as much air out, apply pressure to get a seal near the bottom, and turn it on to get a seal with a fairly good amount of oxygen/atmosphere/h20 removal as well. If you wanted nitrogen wine preserver spray can supplement the desiccant packs.

Then put it in a waterproof drybox, in small units of ~200mg freebase, or the lowest you'd need in one batch relative to how much you have/want it to last. Same with fumarate, but you can do higher quanties since its much more stable. Toss in a few dessicants int the drybox, and go dig a 3ft hole in a very unsuspicious place (the woods).

The ground will keep it around ~60F. Not a freezer, but not warm, or even worst hot, days either. Its always that temp, the deeper the more stable the ground temp is (Assuming theres no geothermal/volcanic activity where you place your box. Bury a temp probe and monitor it throughout the day and you'll see how it doesnt heat/cool like air temp/surface temp.

Thats for fairly long term storage though, and a bit of work, but worth it if you wont use whatever you have for years to come, and want to invest in protecting it.

Thanks guys I really appreciate all the input! I haven't decided what the plan is yet, but I really like your idea Day Tripper, especially the part about how burring it will keep the temp constant and most importantly secure!! I'll just have to make sure I devise a treasure map of some type with X marking the spot lol, or else it'll end up like that book "holes" lol. Regardless thank you all again! The Nexus continues to amaze me!

P.S thats an awesome avatar, definitely one of my favorite moments in Simpsons history X)

Thanks man, appreciate the compliments :d.

I find a good way to ensure you can find your buried treasure, is to note the gps coordinates, take a picture for reference, and make a note as to where exactly your cache is buried. Some cameras also can embed the geolocation in the pic, and you can blow two minds with one tab of acid (don't feel like killing birds today 8) ).

Print a copy and keep it somewhere safe, keep a copy on a flash drive in a encrypted container, and a copy of that encrypted file container in some kind of online cloud backup storage.

A treasure map would be a terrible thing to lose, considering the value of the loot  .
