blu electronic cigarettes.

Okay, so Xmas is coming up and Im wondering if I should get my g/f a blu kit.
Even despite my total change of lifestyle due to the insights gained from SWIM (who uses DMT)
toward a mch more healthy and happier one; she is still a seasoned "no I won't quit" tobacco smoker.

Basically, you get a faux cigarette pack, which charges your 'electronic cigarette'.
your e-cig consists of a battery and a vaporizer, in a tube,
which vaporizes a small canister of nicotine in liquid propylene glycol
(which makes the bulk of the actual vapour.)

They must be making synthetic nicotine somewhere down the line because the cartridges
work out at about 1/4 the cost of cigarettes.

You charge the pack, the pack charges your cig. Its even got a gimmicky blue L.E.D which
iluminates as you take a drag, Although it may be considered kinda cool,
especially for those into gadgets, technology, and flashing lights (read: rave scene)

does anyone have any first hand experience with 'blu' electronic cigarettes?

do you think she'll take to them? wht I want to know is how satisfying are they to the regular smoker?
sure, they deliver the nicotine and claim to deliver the taste,
but do they give you that "I've just poisoned my lungs and my stinky yellow fingers wont stop trembling"
satisfaction?

... I am trying to asses ahead of time whether she will use them for a little while, then
reject them in favor of traditional tobacco; or whether the supplied vapour will be enough
to make the change from rolling tobacco, and hopefully, hopefully, to quitting alltogether.
(although I would be content if she just stopped there, at using e-cigs)

I think it would depend on the person. But my brother got one and as long as it worked he actually stayed away from the ciggs.... When he was over and I would use it though, id smoke his electric cigg and than 10 mins later go to a real cigg. He had true intent, I did not.... but ya never know whatll work for some people

He went through about 3 of them cause they all kept breaking, and im pretty sure he did his research...maybe theres one that doesnt break after a week or two out their though.
 
I looked at one of these a friend had it was made in CHINA has a rechargeable lithium battery that is built in to the cig device . It uses cartridges that contain water and nicotine so you can use it in places no smoking is permitted. The one I saw looked very cheap and had a plastic/electronic smell when sniffing it. He said he paid $150US

I dont trust the chinese(they call themselves Commies but may be the most destructive Capitalist on Earth) and if I can smell plastic/electronics outside the thing it makes me wonder what kind of toxic materials the chinese built it with. I am going to stick with standard nicotine delivery devices until I see a few more test done with this contraption.
I dont like the thought of inhaling fumes from a hot lithium battery or the PVC and other toxic things used to cover wires and insulate electronic devices. It may be a safer alternative to cigs as usual for me I need to see some proof before in buying it.

EDIT If you are not a daily tobacco user PLEASE DONT START! I have used tobacco off and on all my life. I have quit for years at a time many times only to return when I get a bad attitude. My concerns are not for myself but more for those I will injure if I die needlessly from cancer that could have been avoided. I have lost some of my dearest loved ones and it was a slap in the face that made me realize my own selfishness. I am always talking about proof well this is proof that I am a fool and a selfish one at that. I am trying to WISE up and be STRONG.

First of all, blu are reported to be the highest quality brand of electronic cigarettes on the market.

Secondly, there aren't any wires inside because its such a small device, only metal strips.
and even if it was made from PVC, it wouldn't be anywhere near as bad as what you're
inhaling in a cigarette.

Thirdly, it isn't water and nicotine solution, as I said in my original post, its propylene glycol.
- not trying to be a troll, I just object to people stating things as fact that clearly aren't.
Especially when I went to the trouble to look it up to begin with.


Can anyone else answer my questions? Is there still something which smokers prefer about
actual tobacco? So far the report seems to be a "perhaps"
 
I have no experience but I think it would be a nice gesture to your g/f because your saying here is an alternative that will not kill you. I want you to be healthy. It is worth a try.

You may be right. The one I saw was not a Blue and looked pretty cheap It did not have any brand logo. No worries man you did not seem trollish at all. I got plenty of hungry nicotine receptors thats for sure. I would be curious to hear from people who have tried it.

I haven't smoked a cigarette in several years, but a lot of smokers enjoy the very act of smoking itself. That's what it was for me. A sort of chill out contemplative session. I never developed much of an addiction.

I always tell smokers, "If you're gonna smoke tobacco, why don't yah smoke some real tobacco? Instead of that radioactive, chemical-laden tobacco rip-off. I mean you know, if you wanna be a reeeal man." :lol:
 
Then you will end up like me chewing rustica/glauca combo swallowing the juice. I never spit when I chew and sometimes I swallow most of the tobacco as well. Like I said I got some hungry nicotine receptors. I am addicted to nicotine at the present time but I have quit for years at a time but so far always return. I am waiting to get a good attitude so I can quit once and for all again:lol:
