Paul Stamets has been on the Joe Rogan Experience several times. Always dropping amazing info. In this recent interview he seems to confirm some rumors we have heard for years about Frank Herbert and his adventures with magic mushrooms that were the inspiration for DUNE. The whole interview is a few hours long, but if you forward to around hour 2 about 3 minutes in Stamets talks about his personal relationship with author Frank Herbert and their shared love of Psilocybin mushrooms. I was really happy to hear him mention this on JRE so more people could know - it's fascinating how the biggest sci-fi novel ever basically revolves around mushrooms. And thank God for Paul Stamets asking him that in the first place, otherwise we might have never known!!
