Hi everyone!
I am currently breastfeeding my 8 months baby and went onto a journey of psilocybin yesterday. I decided to give my baby pumped breast milk that i had gathered before taking psilocybin and pumped during the journey. I'd love to be able to analyze that milk and check the psilocybin content (if it is feasible)
Thanks a lot for reading me and your help

I don’t think it’s still possible to analyze the milk in a way that would give you a clear answer about whether psilocybin is in it. If you wanted to know that for sure, it would really have needed to be analyzed immediately in a laboratory with something like a gas chromatograph, because psilocybin itself isn’t very stable. That’s especially true in breast milk that has been lukewarm. So at this point, testing it likely wouldn’t be very useful anymore.

What is important to know is that you should think in terms of about a 48-hour window. That means from the moment you start tripping until the moment you put your baby back to the breast, you should leave at least 48 hours in between. Your body needs time to clear all metabolites, and that process doesn’t only happen during the trip itself. It’s much more likely that it takes additional time afterward. That’s why 48 hours is a better and safer standard than just waiting until the experience is over.

I hope it was a meaningful and valuable experience for you. And I really want to say that it’s very good to see that you’re taking your breastfeeding and your baby into account.
