Burning dmt

Hi i got a question I was smoking dmt using the sandwich method but with a metal screen on top to stop the flame from burning the dmt so held the lighter next to the screen until the dmt started to ember and then took the flame away now if the dmt is embering is it burning and am i wasting it or is that what i want to happen??

just make sure the flame doesnt touch the DMT, i infuse mullein and just kiss it with the lighter to get it to cherry and it is always fine.

you will know if your burning it as it tastes horrible.

Yeah. Don't let it touch the DMT, and if you feel you are burning it, then back off with the lighter or inhale more quickly (inhaling slower increases the heat perhaps counter-intuitively). If you notice certain symptoms in your experience like nausea, ball/marble stuck in the back of your throat or like 5x fast-forward mode, then you're probably burning it. As 3rdI said, you should also be able to taste it.

Thanks for the input i know what its like now to burn dmt free base, i just did it after my third trip man was that a horrible exp my lungs hurt so bad i couldnt even close my eyes and enjoy the trip and left me with a bad feeling of waste and regret and also tasted terrible, i couldnt even finish the bowl my lungs where in so much pain. weird thing tho is that i smoke tobacco and its didnt hurting my lungs after but i know if i was to smoke dmt i would just cough so im going to hold off until this weekend and let me lungs recover then take some DOM and smoke some more dmt on the peak hopefully it will allow me to bring more of the exp back with my. PS smoked about 5mg to stop a cluster headache but couldnt even hold it down long enough to see if it aborted one i think it did lessen the pain but not by much.

I just recently met some guys who sandwhich their spice with ashes. I have never heard of that but apparently it works well. They just collected cigarette ashes and packed their bowl with it.

Yeah thats what i did put a metal screen on the bottom then put ash on top of that, then the dmt and then some more ash with a metal screen on the very top worked pretty well the 1st 3 times but something fucked up the last time, i think i didnt put enough ash on the top. next time im going to try more ash on the top and two screens instead of one hopfully it works better

I know i cant wait to try some changa but in my set and setting doing that would raise some "questions" to say the least. Also if i use a MAOI in the changa do i have to change my diet or is that only for ingesting it?
