Caapi Paste Dosage Calculation

I’ve been to a number of aya ceremonies and I’m wanting to start solo journeying.

I’m wanting to start with a vine only brew and I’m having a hard time understanding potency of caapi paste.

If the paste is 10 kilos of vine boiled down to 500 grams of paste, then that would mean it’s a 20x potency, correct? So what would be a medium sized dose of the paste? What would be the water to paste ratio?

Caapi boils down to simple math (no pun intended).

10kg = 10,000g

10,000g divided by 500g = 20x potency (HURRAY! You're correct!)

The water to paste ratio is 20:1 or 20x potency.

A standard dose of caapi is 50g.

So, a standard dose of your 20:1 paste would be?

Who knows if you have 20x caapi extract though. Perhaps it was only boiled for 10 minutes so that people can make money and most of it tannins. Always do a small dose test first just so you don't overdose. Alternatively, make your extracts and purify harmala crystals!

I heard it’s nearly impossible to OD on caapi. Do you know if that’s true?

Harmala overdose results in violent emesis for hours. Long after your stomach is empty you will be purging bile every ten minutes. All night long. Careful not to overdo harmalas.
