Cactus Extract. Do I need to wash this?

Migrated topic.

This is my first cacti extraction. I used 69ron's "Pure white mescaline HCl" tech on 105g powdered San Pedro, except instead of D-Limonene I used Toluene.

I only did 2 pulls so far, salted 3 times each. A third pull is soaking in the cacti mush right now. So far the total yield is 662 mg but I haven't done any acetone or IPA washes yet. I'm not sure if I need to. The first pull is almost pure white and the second is just a little yellow.

These are of the first pull (352mg):

This is the second pull (310mg):

I'm going to wash the second pull but I don't know about the first, it looks pretty clean.
Should I still do a wash on the first pull?

I got another 151 mg from the third pull for a total of 813 mg from 105g of powder. The cactus is spent but I'm pretty satisfied with the yield.

I was expecting it to be a lot dirtier without washing. Is this because I used Toluene or does D-Limonene and Xylene typically come out this clean?

I separated the white powder from a light brown that was crusted around the edges.

Wow really good job. And your first time. You're gifted.
I did several extractions the last half year but never got it this clean initially without cleaning. Can you tell your dillution of the Hcl? I used a Ph meter (around Ph 6) last time and only used minimal Hcl, the first pull was quite clean but still gave me tanny mesc and needed cleaning. Maybe it's a solvent thing. I'll try Xylene next time instead of d-limo. Thanks for sharing!

About 4 drops of 31.45% HCl was added to a cup of distilled water for a Ph of about 3 (checked with Ph paper).

I used Toluene because nobody seems to sell D-Limonene around here and I really don't want to use Xylene. I read an old thread where acolon_5 mentioned Toluene working. Looks like he was right! :d
I still plan on trying D-Limonene to compare, as soon as I can get my hands on some.

I'm going to start with about 100mg to test it out this weekend.
