Hi
I am preparing for an ayahuasca ceremony next weekend.
This will be my second ceremony at home with my wife as a sitter.
Being a daily cannabis user, abstaining from it is the part that is always the most challenging to me.
I had my first three ceremonies in peru and they were wonderful. I was extremely careful with my preparation for this
Adventure and i was off cannabis use for a bit more than a month before.
First ceremony almost nothing happened.
I had an indescribable experience that left me in awe on the second ceremony.
The third one hit me once i was back to my hut after eating a small meal and i spent the night "let's say" travelling between heaven and hell.
Last year three ceremonies in costa rica ... nothing happened... except the extreme purge every time the whole night.
That time i had been smoking cannabis until 2 days before my first ceremony.
First ceremony here at home in december 2020. Made a cappi brew and dosed with dmt 50mg freebase and 80mg caapi extract in coca cola 30 min after drinking the brew.
The brew was 50g caapi boiled 3 times for three hours that i had prepared on the previous weekend.
This time the experience was very gentle. I purged only once after 45 min and i could feel the caapi. But barely no
Dmt visuals. Even after a redose of 50mg caapi extract 40mg dmt an hour in
I had faint closed eye visuals but nothing compared to peru's ceremonies.
( note: i had an apple sauce after the first dose of dmt)
This time i had been off cannabis for two weeks.
I am trying to see if there might be a correlation between frequent cannabis use and being less sensitive to dmt.
I am still in contact with the shaman i spent a moment with in peru and she is firm on the fact that one should abstain for at least three weeks. And that she noticed through her multiple ceremonies that frequent users seem to be less sensitive to the effects of the dmt and also tend to purge more.
What do you guys think?
I know cannabis is part of certain ceremonies in brasil so that leaves me with a bunch of ????
