Chosing a tek

SWIM has been looking over the different extraction teks, but is having difficulty in accessing which method is best for a beginner.
SWIM wants to know if there is a tek that is just plain easier than the others. If so, does it sacrifice quality or yield?

here is an easy tek

take 50grams of root bark and powderize
take 500ml of water
add 15-20g of lye

stir in powdered root bark into the basic water..shake it a bit..make sure you are careful..lye burns

then add 50ml of xylene/heptane/naphtha xylene pulls a broader range of alkies(so more goodies)

roll the xylene around in the solution..but dont shake..causes emulsion..do this for 10 minutes..then let it settle..then do it again..after say an hour or so pour off xylene...

you can evaporate this(stinky) and get some jungle spice mixed with dmt...or you can add fumaric acid saturated acetone(for one gram of dmt and friends you need 309mg of fumaric acid and a good amount of acetone would be around 50ml) then add this mixture to xylene a bit at a time..you cant over do it...it will get all cloudy..and over the next little bit you will start to see crystals forming..once the xylene is clear..add a bit more FASA(fumaric acid acetone) and if it doesnt cloud up you have most of your spice...pour off the xylene leaving behind fumaric salts..

if you used naphtha throw it in the freezer and wait for 12 hours for your snow globes..

you can take your fumaric salts and freebase them with some sodium carbonate or calcium hydroxide..use at least 1/4 the weight of your fumaric salts to free base them..add a bit of water to make a paste and stir for ten minutes..and then dry them completely...add some acetone and it will pull out all the goodies...you can then evap the acetone...and wash your goodies that form with some naphtha to separate the jungle spice from the dmt..the dmt goes into the naphtha and then you throw it in the freezer

No one is really sure what Jungle Spice is. It's another psychoactive that is part of MHRB, but produces darker experiences, sometimes frightening. SWIM hasn't tried it since he never seems to be able to get any from the bark. But he's using Naptha instead of Acetone or Xylene.
