I am new to this forum and relatively new to DMT in general. After consideration SWIM decided not to associate with the people typically selling it and just make his own. This is why the following questions are a bit ignorant. When using the Noman extration Tek during the freeze precipitation stage should the collection jar lids be on tight or loose? Also will the whole of a collection jar be ruined if a tiny bit of the lye/bark solution gets in?

seal it tight u dont want an condensation to get in. Try to get that little bit out definately. Switch the containers you should be able to decant it. its definately not ruined it was just sitting in a bottle of it.
you can do a sodium carbonate wash to remove this little bit of lye that went in..
you can also recrystalize the whole thing after, and it will also remove the impurities..
