Cleaning method when dichloromethane is used

Cleaning method when dichloromethane is used
I am using dichloromethane to produce dmt. It occurred to me that dichloromethane is not strictly speaking a non-polar solvent. So I thought that unlike other non-polar solvents, it may have its own unique cleaning process.
If I add acetone to dichloromethane with dmt dissolved in it and shake it, will it successfully transfer and remove impurities such as plastic? This is probably a simple idea that lacks knowledge of chemistry.
I feel like there must be some unique and better way to do this with dichloromethane.

If you’re unsure about your DCM and feel that there’s plastic dissolved into your DCM don’t use it, the acetone approach will not work as it’s missable in any proportion in DCM.

I made a slight mistake in the process and some plastic got mixed in. We plan to remove plastics and impurities using the miniAB extraction method.

Just don’t, there’s no need for this, think about your health and accept your loss. Start over and don’t repeat previous mistakes, my advice would also be to not use DCM, alternative solvents like naphtha are much more effective for extraction. Naphtha makes freeze precipitation possible and is very selective for DMT.

I really appreciate your advice. I would actually like to use naphtha, but it's too expensive to get in my area. There are three criteria I use to choose a non-polar solvent, and they are prioritized in order from top to bottom.

Safety and health risks

Ease of dmt attraction

Price

When manufacturing dmt, there are only three non-polar solvents that are likely to be available from among the effective non-polar solvents: hexane, dichloromethane, and xylene.

Which non-polar solvent would you choose, varallo?

For all criteria, preferences would be Hexane, xylene and then DCM, im not sure where you’re from but it’s remarkable that DCM is cheaper, maybe take some time and see if you can find a better option for the naphtha.
