Cloudy, hot naptha and solubility

Swim is doing his first STB extraction:

Knowing the principle that compounds become increasingly soluble in hot solutions,

Wouldn't it be advantageous to heat a lye/naphtha/mhrb solution immediately prior to freeze precip?

Swim would presume that hot naphtha (higher dmt density than standard temp.) immediately extracted for freeze precip. would allow for higher yield and better crystal crashing than normal temp. naphtha alone, though swim can't find anyone who has mentioned doing this.

Thoughts and experiences?

SWIY is correct, but.
In my experience heating the naphtha pulls along a lot of plant oils resulting in a brown waxy goop instead of white dmt.
Also it pulls along a lot of 'jungle' spice which, in my opinion, ruins the dmt. Others say it makes the dmt more potent but I find the trip far too 'dark' and chaotic and the bodyload is intense too.

My advice is that SWIY first does a room temperature pull and I advice 2ml of naphtha per gram of dmt (others say this is overkill but I have had double the amount of dmt per pull than with 1 ml) and just let it crystallize in the freezer.
That will almost guarantee nice pure crystals and later on you can experiment with heating
Ps: some tek's say you let the naphtha sit on the soup for about 30 minutes but I have had poor results with that. Let it sit for 8 hours or so. (and cover it up so it doesn't evap)

You want to have the solution heated from the point you add the naphtha until you remove it for freezing, not just heat the naphtha moments before freezing. Naphtha doesnt pull dmt at room temp. Xylene or d-limonene will though.

EDIT: Am I wrong about that? I was under the impression, and I think I experienced in an extraction, that naphtha wont pull anything at room temp but amvitamines post suggests otherwise.

Try adding 2 ml of naphtha per gram of powder and letting it sit for 6 or 8 hours.
I have had consistent great results with room temperature naphtha pulls. Always clean white crystals and a yield of +- 1.3 percent in total (4 pulls)

If it worked for you then either I am wrong or you live somewhere hot, lol. I live in scotland and its been winter time for my extractions, unheated naphtha pulls nothing for me if I remember correctly. I use xylene.

Naphtha does indeed pull a fair amount of product at room temp. However, I have heard reports of people doing pulls with warm (not hot) naphtha to increase the solubility of the product.

Couple of days with 1ml per gram, was going to evap til it got cloudy then freeze precip. It never got cloudy so I just let it evap entirely and what remained just looked like the residue that was left in the jar from the previous pull. Added xylene after that, left a few days, pulled and evapped leaving a good yield. Certainly not white crystals though. Ive never had crystals. When I was using (heated) naphtha I was getting yellowish waxy powder, now that im using xylene I am pulling dark yellow/orange stuff. Im happy with this though, ive never even bothered with a wash or re-x.

Looking back I think probably the reason I never had any luck with unheated naphtha was probably to do with the temp of the room it was in being significantly lower than room temperature.

Nope not yet, was always happy enough with the taste/effects of what I pulled. Have been tempted to clean and re-x to try and grow some large xtals though.

Heat your mhrb soup no probs. Just wash with sc solution and re-x and you will have some nice fluffy xtals

You definitely should do that.
Chances are you find the white dmt more pleasurable over the brown dmt
