Color of this Naphtha too light?

Migrated topic.

Hi guys,

I found this picture on the internet, and wanted to get some opinions on the color. It was described as the first two Naphtha pulls from an MHRB STB extraction. But, I don't know, it looks lighter in color than other pictures I've seen. It's very clear, but I would have expected a darker yellow color. Does this look like it's on the right track?

Here's a description of his process:

1) To 100g of powdered inner bark was added 1.4 liters of distilled water.

2) This was allowed to stir under an overhead mixer until liquefied.
Table salt was added as foam appeared, which dissipated quickly.

3) While mixing, 200g of NAOH was slowly added.

4) Smooth but vigorous mixing was allowed to continue for 2 hours,
after which it was gently stirred for 22 hours.

5) To this was added 200ml of Naphtha, vigorously mixed for 1 hour,
and gently stirred overnight for 12 hours, then allowed to separate.

6) The Naphtha was carefully drawn off by vacuum.

the darker the naphtha more more fishy it smells. also, the darker solvent does tend to freeze out a small portion of somethign that i can smell. it is a more floral smell than dmt normally and is the exact smell of local acacai flowers.... like if i fp and dry a jar with obvious oils in it from heated naphtha it WREAKS of the tree flowers. my white spice has a much more indole/dmt smell.
