Hello everybody.
The only reason I felt like registering on here is because I'm one of the few lucky vaporizer users. I actually have been using my V-Tower Extreme for a couple of years already, so I consider myself pretty much experiencied with the psychedelic world of vapor. I also wanted to let you all know: buying a Volcano is NOT obligatory, to enjoy the magick of a vaporizer. It's extremely expensive and to be honest, there is no difference, quality-wise, between the Volcano and the V-Tower Extreme. The only difference is that one will go for more or less 500$ and the other for more or less 300$. Also there seemed to be quite a bit of misinformation about vaporizers on the many head forums that I have visited over the last 2 years. Many bong users seem to think that there's not much of a difference between vapor and smoke, both in taste and effect-wise. I guess no one really likes to be told that there actually is a better way to do what he so much likes doing his way.
Now, I know this forum is specifically related to DMT so I'm speaking more "in general". There is a huge difference between vapor and smoke. As I was a daily weed smoker for years, both my head and my lungs started hating me, but ever since I've discovered the sweet power of vapor, I couldn't go back to smoking. Whenever I sometimes do, the feeling is not the same anymore. Which brings me to the difference in effects. I'd argue that there is such a difference. First difference: quantitative. Every experienced smoker I've initiated to vaporizing were all amazed at how much high they could get with seemingly not much material. Instead of a big spliff, they would inhale like 5 large hits of vapor and get where the big spliff would bring them, minus a certain amount of material. Therefore I'm pretty sure that this also applies to DMT, and in fact it does. Since nothing is lost using a vaporizer, you will of course need less material to get to the same place, and every time you will do, you will make sure not to waste any mg of your sacred material.
Second difference: qualitative. One could go as far as to say that the vapor produced by a vaporizer is even more pure than anything you could come up with manually. Not only is it much nicer with your lungs, but one thing is for sure, I notice something different about the way I feel it coming. It's hard to put that in words. It's less aggressive, sweeter, and when you think about it, more respectful to the plant, since you're never burning it all, but only taking what you need from it. Third difference: easiness. Whether you want a DMT trip or some THC fun, everything is so much easier with a vaporizer. For weed I will use my whip and for DMT a bag. In both cases, I fail to see why someone would prefer a spliff or a pipe or a bong or a torch or whatever. One last thing I'd like to advise vaporizer non-users: if you have never tried it, don't judge it! It's like nothing you could only imagine. Personally, I see it as a revolution for the heads.
