confusion with acacia a/b

Ive extracted dmt from mimosa and acacia confusa each time using noman's stb with a few modifications Ive made mysself. Im now in a situation where I have a decent amount of shredded inner acacia root bark gifted to me from a friend. having always worked with powdered bark I never had to bother with an a/b extraction but now things are different. Im attempting a marsfolds tek on a lb of acacia inner root bark and am confused with the acid stage itself. the tek says to mix the vinegar and water and then to add it into the crock pot and then after 2 hours to drain it and then add the remaining acid water solution and cook for a additional two hours. what remaining water acid solution? didnt I add it all in the first time? could someone please elaborate I havnt used the site in forever and many features have changed so I would normally just do a search so sorry if the question is obvious

Why don't you just grind up the shredded bark into powder in a food processor? No need to try a new tek if you feel you have NOMANS TEK down...

sorry i havent quite figured out how to put the hyperlink on to a post yet i haven't looked at the tek your referring to, but this one is very well worded. The way it states it, you strain the mixture after boiling, but you strain it into a different pot, then repeat the process with new mixture material. The tek intro also recommends additional literature, which is free, to read up on before extracting, and is quite helpful I think joshisom did a good job laying out this tek. hope this helps you

I've made THAT mistake. Simply mix up some more distilled water and Acetic acid, and do another acid boil. Use half the amount of the original, but keep the same proportions of water/vinegar.
Boil it for another 1 1/2 hours, and add it to your sedimentation jar that has the first boil.
You could do a third boil as well. Get as much of the spice as you can!

Use three water-vinegar extractions rather than two. Divide up the water-vinegar mix so that you roughly use 50% for the first extraction, 25% for the second, and 25% for the third extraction. After the last extraction press out the fiber to squeeze the last bit of liquid from it.

This is mentioned in the notes at the end of the tek. Please make sure you read the whole tek enough times to have a good understanding of it before starting an extraction.

You would probably be better off powdering your bark or extremely finely shredded, at the very least. A pound is really not that much to powder in a coffee grinder. It might take an hour or so, but there is no need to rush these things.

EDIT: If you haven't already, read up on the NMT/DMT goo that is commonly extracted from ACRB. Thick-Light's tek includes an added step that can help to separate the two alkaloids.
