I decided to make a logic string thread:

I have a string of logic i want to present, and see what people think of it. Please comment any logic strings you want to post or any rebuttals or thoughts about mine

All Matter is part of the universe.
We are matter, and therefore part of the universe.

Perception and thought are the processing of and reaction to matter.
We, being an inseparable and seemingly autonomous part of the universe, are the universe perceiving itself.

Objective perception is the most depersonalized perception.
It is therefore the most considerate perception of all matter possible by us.

Subjective thought is the most considerate of one's own parts.
If we are part of the universe, then we are the universe experiencing its self.

If we are the universe, then our objective thoughts are also the universe's most subjective thoughts.

Indydude19: I'm not sure all the logic in your string works properly.

My favorite logic string-type thing requires you to know a little bit of Propositional Calculus, but here it goes:

From a contradiction, anything follows.

If I am made of atoms, and those atoms and sub-atomic particles create thoughts in my brain, who decided what to think? I did. Who am I? Who willed those particles to behave in such a way?

Either, there is no free will, and my thoughts are at the mercy of the atoms that make me up, or something else induces those atoms to behave the way they do, by my choice. What ever that thing is that exercises the ability to choose is the life force/soul/atman/divine connection that makes me, me.

As humans, we know what big and tiny are in comparison to ourselves. Cruise ships are pretty big, lady bugs are pretty small compared to a cruise ship. Our blood cells are really small. Jupiter is huge. But Jupiter is nothing compared to Betelgeuse, and Betelgeuse is nothing compared to the entire Universe.

Since there is so much scale just in what we can see and/or measure, who is to say that scale itself is finite? Our universe may be contained inside of something even larger than it that we have no idea about, which is also part of a scaled system as well in which the 'it' that contains us really isn't very big at all compared to something else within that existence. And Im not really even talking parallel universe theory or the like, Im just talking scale alone; think fractal like I suppose. But not fractal universe theory. And at the other end of the spectrum, all or some of the atoms in our body or a tree's structure or of an ocean may contain universes themselves, which may also contain bugs and people and life and stars and galaxies.

Where does 'scale' itself end and/or begin? Our universe seems endless to us, in a finite matter though because the view is that our universe IS it. But, to something else out there in the void, our universe itself might be to something what an a simple small insect is to us, just another piece of an infinitely scaled redundancy. If I was MIT-smart enough to actually research these things and name a crazy idea that a few people in that circle might say HMMMMM Interesting!... I'd name it the Infinite Scale Theory hahaha

I really like this line of thought.

What if "our" universe is the smallest piece in this theory?

Thinking about things on a scale that large really makes you feel insignificant.

We are but a mold culture in the lab of a Higher Being.

Crazy stuff, but it is interesting.

The body is made of trillions of cells.

Cells don't last very long - they have their own birth/life/death and every cell in your body has been replaced more than once. Some last longer than others, but all go through mitosis and apoptosis.

Hence, you are not the same physical 'stuff' that you used to be.

If every cell in your body has died and been replaced, doesn't if follow suit that you have died and been replaced many times over?

Only the pattern persists, and even the pattern changes

Thoughts on "human-made materials being unnatural". I've had this one floating in my head for a while now.

Could someone help me formulate it?

Essentially, the thought is that nothing is unnatural because it exists.

For example plastics. Sure they are human-made but humans developed from from the natural world. Therefore anything we make is also natural.

Nature is comprised of all that has occurred in the universe. Anything within the universe, or created within the universe, is naturally produced and is thus part of nature. Humans, birds, reptiles and insects are all forms of life. All forms of life have naturally occurred and are part of the universe. Thus anything any form of life produces is naturally occurring and a part of nature. It follows then that beaver dams, birds nests, beehives, plastics and the empire state building are naturally occurring, and inalienable parts of nature.

That about does it, I think. Off the top of my head, but could likely be more succinct. I'll work on it.

The complex ecosystem of this world may be compared to an organism. A parasite is an organism that grows, feeds, and is sheltered on or in a different organism while contributing nothing to the survival of its host. Humans grow, feed and are sheltered on this world, its host, while contributing nothing to its survival. Ergo, humans may be compared to parasites of the complex ecosystem of this world.

Bear in mind, parasites are natural also, by definition. The above statement is by no means a judgment, but simply a statement.

I would say that the earth is a parasite to the sun in that sense, and that all exists in the singular organism of the universe.

personally, I would consider us more of a digestion system for the universe rather than parasites though, we are very good at taking useful materials from non useful ones and processing them, and changing them.
