[Crystal Identification] What orange form is this? Crystals?

First time doing this tek (http://enlightenedawareness.wetpain...tion+Tek+-+D-Limonene+++Calcium+Hydroxide+Tek)

SWIM stopped at step 5 to see if all went well, that is SWIM dehydrated the vinegar and left with orange residue, which SWIM then scrapped with a knife and got the following image, what form is this orange stuff? fumarate, freebase, salt? I don't know the names here they all confuse me.

I'm okay to smoke it correct?

So far it smells like indole, which is positive sign as its familiar to SWIM.

It smokes okay as well (of course SWIM tried it)

Is this jungle spice?

no you cant smoke it its in salt form you need to freebase it.

mix with sodium carbonate and a dash of water make paste dry and powder then mix with acetone or ipa, then decant and evap the ace/ipa and you have your free base spice, best to wash the acetate/carb powder a few times in the ace/ipa to get all the spice out.

i'm pretty sure acetate converts to fb when exposed to heat, though i believe that is the only (or one of the only) one that does that.

yes that is true i was gonna edit my post, i read on a thread somewhere that they like to put it into tinctures then drop it onto a spoon and heat it, to break the acetate bonds. although my instincts tell me it would still be better to convert it if you wanna smoke freebase.

All of the write-ups I've been involved with since talking to benz have made sure to indicate that this needs verification, and that people are not advised to smoke acetates until someone confirms that this seemingly low temperature is, in fact, enough to convert the acetate to freebase.

many salts of tryptamines smoke just fine- possibly melting and vaporizing at higher temps though

All of the write-ups I've been involved with since talking to benz have made sure to indicate that this needs verification, and that people are not advised to smoke acetates until someone confirms that this seemingly low temperature is, in fact, enough to convert the acetate to freebase.

fair enough, but i know from experience that acetate can be vaped successfully and is quite active

when DMT is in an acid form, wouldn't that increase the temperature the spice would vape at, also wouldnt that make the smoker harsher?

Sure...house, myself, and others have also found that to be the case. But what are the health effects of smoking/vaporizing dmt acetate? Does it create any troublesome products when it breaks down? I don't know and therefore would not personally advise others to go that route without more information.

i haven't had any harsh vapor, but it does make more heat resistant.

Whoa, I read this and then i scrolled down and read the rest. I hope you can smoke it SWIM has been smoking it in joints and bud, seems to bring on a body load but with no visuals, and the smoke is tasteless and smells of oranges + a hint of indole. SWIM liked this extraction and hope that it really is turning in to freebase other wise the past few days for SWIM would be from the placebo effect.
