Crystals disapear if they form at all.

Migrated topic.

Hello all,
I am going to try and do an Acacia extraction again and I am hoping to actually get something out of it this time. Previously I thought there were crystals when I pulled my solvent from the freezer but when I filtered the liquid, I had nothing. I tried evaporating the solvent and still nothing. A couple of questions.
Is there an extraction technique for acacia that is simple enough I won't mess it up?

Is it harmful to the product (I understand the safety issues) to use a magnetic stirrer hotplate
combination and use heat after adding the solvent?

If evaporating what does applying an outside heat source have?

Does deionized water provide a better yield or product compared to distilled water?

Is there a material that I should not use when choosing equipment such as metal, wood, or plastic?

I have seen various opinions on the time you have to leave your powder is the water with the base
and how long you need to leave the NP solvent on the mixture. Can anyone clarify this and does the
addition of heat effect it?

What are some good alternatives to Naptha?

Is it possible to use an HCL gas to retrieve the crystals?

Lets have a look: Attitude Page - DMT-Nexus Wiki

Do you think there is anywhere you could have done better?

Maybe people read your post and were thinking how best to answer. Sometimes it gets a bit slow here. If that's the case, it's often best to have a look through the forums to see if your questions have been asked and answered before. I've certainly read a fair amount of discussions regarding extraction from various parts of various species of Acacia here over the years so the first thing would be to check what already exists for your particular choice of Acacia material. What will you be using, incidentally?

Another thing to bear in mind is that DMT HCl is very hygroscopic and it would thus be useless to attempt to prepare DMT HCl crystals without some fairly advanced lab equipment to hand, including some means of producing anhydrous HCl and a way of handling material under isolation from atmospheric moisture.

I found what I could ha have done better. I need to be more patient and pay attention to the details. It made all the difference. I have been using Cybs hybrid tek. Thanks Cyb

Excellent! It's good to hear that you've got it sorted - and perhaps honed a life skill or two?
We all owe a lot to those who blazed this trail before us.

How does your extract look? Acacias often yield a goo and at a guess, since you've used Cyb's tek, you started with ACRB which can yield a goo if, as it often does, it contains significant amounts of NMT.

It's useful to have it confirmed that Cyb's tek works for whatever type of Acacia material you had. If you could let us know which Acacia you used you could, I don't know, count it as your good deed for the day or something
