crystals on pipe

swim has alot of crystals stuck to the inside of his pipe. Can tis be smoked or might it be something bad. Also could this give some insight to his smoking technique. Did he prehaps not get the pipe hot enough if alot of the xtals stuck?
 
Use a small amount of hot naphtha or bestine to dissolve the xtals stuck on the inside of the pipe then and recrystalize by letting the solvent evap or if you prefer, stick it in the fridge. Probably won't get nice clean xtals if there is any burnt material in your pipe, but you can recover it.

I'm not sure about acetone.
 
Yep any of those will work, naphtha/heptane, IPA and acetone. What is the pipe made of, btw? And is it a normal pipe or a vaporizing pipe?

If you just vaporized things, it will be fine to smoke afterwards, whatever is condensed is just part of what was in your original product, nothing bad..... But if you smoked something in the pipe, then together with possible dmt there will be tars and other combustion by-products which might not be so nice to smoke, maybe rather just use the solvents to clean the pipe and smoke some fresh stuff :)
 
Here's what swim does. He has a thin glass base pipe. First swim will remove any of those ugly brown scab looking crystal with a scraper. He then melts the crystals in the pipe with a lighter. Swim will blow out through the pipe to cool it down. If its too hot your solvent will crack the pipe. Swim will load bestine into a syringe plug the hole with his finger and run the syringe under hot water from his sink, then spray the heated heptane into the pipe and shake it for a few minutes. Swim will poor the solvent out into a half pint jar and run 1 more syringe of heated bestine through the pipe and freeze precip the solvent. The next day nice white crystals as if he did a reX.
 
Thanks for the replies. Its just a glass tube converted into a smoking device, completely made of glass. Naptha seems like the easiest way then, what would happen if they were just scraped up and smoked? Yeah it was only spice smoked in the pipe.
 
You wont get much of the xtlas off by scraping them, enless they are realy caked on the pipe. Best bet is to rinse the pipe with any of the above solvents. Evap and smoke:)
 
should I evap it in the tube or in a flat dish? I left it overnight in the tube but it hasnt seemed to evap very much.
 
Evap on a scrape friendly plate, then scrape it with razor blade when it doesn't smell any solvent anymore .
 
thanks! swim did this but there wasnt really enough to warrant scraping so swim did another pull and evapped it all on there which worked pretty well :D
