Didnt allow myself enough time to get past heating the acid solution. When I get back to it will I need to reheat again for 8 hours, or can I go straight to defatting, salting, and onto the base solution? Thanks for the info.

I think you acidify first for 8 hours iirc.. What have you done so far added vinegar or a base?
If just added vinegar then keep heating until the total time gets to 8 hrs

You are correct, I will chalk that up to dyslexia. I have done the acid solution heat bath, and still need to do defat, salt, and base solution. Thanks for the catch. Made the correction to the OP.

No worries, yeah so 8hrs in acid water then defat then ad d the non iodised table salt then base then pull. Good luck!

So no need to reheat the acid solution? Any negatives for leaving sit in acid solution at room temp for 48 to 72 hours after heat bath before continuing?

Yeah reheat it and keep it in the warm bath until its been in for a total of 8 hrs. It should.be ok soaking after it can only help lysing but you should watch for mould forming. If it does you can.just scoop or filter it out and add the base.
