Death coming to the family. Tools for mourning?

Migrated topic.
Vodsel,

I am sorry for your loss as well. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Also, I hope you don't mind me cleaning up this thread some.

Vodsel, I'm glad to hear you were able to be there for his final moments. I'm sure your steady and intelligent presence made a big difference for your whole family in dealing with the challenges of these past weeks.

I hope that these days of the aftermath are bringing you peace, closure, possibly even a little transcendence.

Thank you all. I've learned these days that wishes, nods and condolences mean more than I thought. We may all die alone, but the process of death is to be shared... we all live in uncertainty, and death is real. And not present enough in our mind. No one should wait to have a close meeting with it in order to realize that.

I understand. I just want to say that no personal offense was taken from ETV posts.

I had to catch up and work like a mule aftewards, so I had little time to transcend... but I feel things are slowly falling into place, and this weekend there will be time to take one deep look. More things have been happening lately that have to do with my own role as a father (I am), and if there is a father archetype somewhere in hyperspace, the moment for him to turn up and squeeze me hard is now.
