Different crystal types?

Afternoon everyone, first post here. I was just wondering if anyone had any insight into the different types of crystals people get from their extractions. A friend of mine did an extraction and due to time restraints almost every pull was done a little differently and resulted in different looking crystals! Material used was 300g acrb, I will do my best to describe the different pulls and results.
1st pull. Shook naptha and basified liquid vigorously 6 times let separate and used baster to pull off naptha. Sat in his basement for a day, nothing happened so into the freezer for a day. Nice white fluff on the sides of the jar and yellowish fluff on the bottom. Scraped and dried. He kept the white and yellow separate.
2nd pull. Same as first except straight into the freezer. More yellow than white this time.
3rd pull. Same as first two but this time the naptha from pull 2 was re-used. Mostly yellow goo with some white around the edges precipitated out this time.
4th pull. Same as first 3 but this time chunky red crystals precipitated.
5th pull. This time he tried room temp precip. Put the pull in the shed for 5 days! Nothing. From there into the freezer where nice translucent crystal shards were produced. They looked like the shards in supermans fortress of solitude only smaller.
6th pull and 7th pulls. Up till now all pulls were one day apart, this pull was done 2 weeks later. 6th and 7th were done back to back. Both were put in the basement to sit. He liked the looks of pull 5 and was looking for a repeat. After one day pull 6 had very large round crystalline blooms while 7 had nothing! 6 is going to be scraped and dried tomorrow and 7 will be put in the freezer.
Re exed the red and yellow crystals and got nice small fluffy white crystals.
I know without pics its not a lot to go on but i guess the big question is, what if any is the difference between the white, translucent shards, and the bigger translucent crystals?

The best crystals Ive seen too were unplanned kinda, it was freeze precipitating naphtha that had already been in the freezer once. They were big and jagged and perfectly round. The xtals that are usually from the first two pulls are way way smaller and still white, which was what that batch of naphtha actually produced for the first 18 hrs in the freezer, which are roughly the size of maybe granulated sugar. But these ones that happened unexpectedly were like the diameter of a dime and after the trays sat in the freezer for a good 3 days.

On your end, its kinda strange that the pull that went into the freezer immediately turned more yellow than the pull that sat out for a bit.

Yup, those look like the fluff. I was surprised by how little weight they have. They were dried them in front of a fan and when they were broken up some almost blew away! As to the yellow pull, the yellow was under the white and was sticky. I think it kinda turned most of that pull yellow.

There was a thread in advanced/enhanced chemistry(might be stickied) about geometry of crystals. Most different crystals are formed by the amount of impurities in them.

Too much heat to fast id say. I dunno, some people say that dmt smoke is harsh. I don't think so at all. Clean freebase should have no harshness IMO.

[not having access to a freezer]..I buried the napatha pull jar .[in photos]..under ice over night [about 17 hours] in morning i saw all the crystals sticking to sides an bottom of jar..[just as they can in a freezer..[which is much colder than ice]

I simply poured off the setteled clear napatha into another jar then tilted jar a little downwards to drain all napatha away into a plate as a computer fan dryed the crystals..
I see almost no yellow its mostly white..
I tryed just a tiny amount and it seems harsher than full spectrum acacia goo?
I have to wait a few days to try again because i have a light chest caugh i want to get rid of first..
Are crystals that are more pure harsher than goo?
Maybe i aplyed too much heat too fast?:|

Anything that wasn't at white as snow was re exed to a pure white. As to harshness i wouldn't know as I have not tried it yet! But after all the reading on this forum the whiter to clearer the purer it is. I hope that is the truth

To my understanding VAPOR is not harsh. Howver, based off swim's experience, burned freebase that is overheated can be very harsh :?

I was only concerned because i added more lye to my basified mix and hoped it wasnt over saturated/
But even if i did use more lye than i needed to ..
[and because of the laws of [polar verses non polar]..wouldent it still seperate safely if i waited long enough for the layers to seperate?
The photos above i believe to be fairly clean spice and i even compair two samples ..one of lye crystals in a couple drops of cold water.. verses ..my spice in cold water also...
The results were ..[the lye desolved almost imeadiatly with a chemicle wisp of smoke]..and the spice sample acted diferently [by not readily desolving] ..it maintained its shape longer and just apeared soggy but not compleatly desolved as the lye did ..
any opinions welcome..

..many tryptamine plants have a few trace alkaloids (not 'impurities' as such, more diversity) ,
however, DMT is Polymorphic, meaning t has more than one crystal form..
Fitzgerald and Simous (1965) obtained both yellow and red forms of DMT from Acacia maidenii..
