Does anyone know of a good cheap ph sensor that's not to difficult to calibrate?
My gut is telling me it's one of those good, cheap, easy : pick 2, kind of things.

The cheap pH meters are more trouble than they are worth. You’ll spend too much time calibrating them. Many cheap ones with auto-calibration don’t calibrate well. And most don’t account for temperature changes. The pH meters that don’t account for temperature changes are only accurate at room temperature so you can’t check hot liquids with them.

I recommend that you either buy a good quality one that accounts for temperature changes ($100 and up), or you get good quality pH paper instead. There’s some really good quality pH paper made by pHydrion. That’s what SWIM uses. The only time he uses a meter is when the liquid is too dark or thick to work well with pH paper.
