I saw the picture of your extracted DMT, it definitely needs to be cleaned up.
Can you post some more information on how you got this gunky freebase? Like what solvent, what colour it was, if you pulled up any basified bark solution, if you evaporated it.
What you can do to clean it up, is dissolve it in bit of naphtha or heptane, 100ml should do, warm it to help dissolve.
Run this through coffee filter to get rid of any insoluble gunk that won't dissolve.
Then add it to a container with sodium carbonate (washing soda, or make it from bicarbonate baking soda, but don't use bicarbonate) and water to wash it.
the water and carbonate will take away most of the yellow colour, separate these, be careful not to get any water with it. Then put your solvent in the freezer to freeze precipitate your DMT. You could also salt the DMT out with vinegar or fumaric acid.
The DMT will be more pure, and safe to use, probably yellow crystals.
You can get purer white crystals be dissolving in heptane, and letting the goo settle, and decanting.
An Activated carbon wash on the heptane after decanting will remove any leftover yellow colour.
You can let this slowly evaporate to form large pure, pretty looking crystals
