DMT and the dead

weirdoigo

Esteemed member
someone on reddit posted recently about having encounters not with entities but with a dead relative on several occasions.
my experience so far has been entirely alien or orthogonal to matters of this world.
but it makes me more curious about an experiment that I'm not sure about...

a few weeks ago we decided it was the perfect time to go for a walk in the forest. we parted ways and quickly I was interrupted by a fantail (small native bird) doing circles closely around me like in some Disney film. I tried to offer a slice of mandarin but it didn't want food. I went on my way after a bit, not sure what was going on.
About an hour later my friend texted me saying there were a bunch of cops at the car park. it turns out that just a few hundred meters from where the bird stopped me someone the previous night had gone into a dense part of the forest I'd clambered through only a month ago, a part no one goes through, impenetrable, and hanged themselves there. my friend saw a car arrive and a lady with kids get out and run crying to where she was told he was.

I knew roughly the area, the friend had overheard them mentioned a color (some of the trees had that color spray painted on them), but I didn't know where exactly.

The other day I found the path they'd made clearing through that area and flowers in memorial on one particular tree.

You know where I'm going with this.

Do I take the spice there and see if it's of some value?
If you can contact people, and if he wishes he could say something to console his grieving family (who undoubtedly would never think attempting such a thing could be possible and have no hope of hearing from him), then maybe I can give him that opportunity.
Would that be wrong somehow?

Have any of you taken it at a funeral or a graveyard or in proximity to death before?

Your experience sounds incredibly profound and layered with emotion. It’s understandable to feel a strong connection to the events that unfolded in the forest, especially after your encounter with the fantail. Nature often has a way of guiding us or making us reflect on deeper issues, and it seems like this was a moment of pause for you.

As for your idea about using spice to potentially connect with the deceased, it’s a complex and sensitive topic. Many people have different beliefs about the afterlife and the possibility of communication with those who have passed. If you feel a genuine calling to explore this, it’s important to approach it with respect and mindfulness.

Consider the intentions behind your actions. If your goal is to offer comfort or closure, that’s a beautiful sentiment. However, it’s also crucial to recognize that not everyone may share the same beliefs about such experiences, and it’s essential to be respectful of the feelings of the deceased's family and their grieving process.
If you do decide to go through with it, perhaps set a clear intention for your experience, and be open to whatever comes. It might also be helpful to reflect on how you would feel if you were in the family's position. Ultimately, trust your instincts and approach the situation with care and compassion.

As for others who have taken similar journeys, experiences vary widely. Some find solace and connection, while others may feel it’s not the right setting. It’s a deeply personal choice, and whatever you decide, make sure it feels right for you.

As a child we come out of the womb crying because everything is new and jarring. As we age we experience and learn more. We start to form relationships and memories. DMT and other psychedelics essentially trick your brain into misbehaving in different ways that sort of jumble those experiences. So it wouldn't surprise me that someone is seeing relatives long gone, chances are their subconscious is still thinking about that person so much that it comes bubbling to the surface in an experience fabricated from past experiences with said person. But then again there's always that possibility that our brains are all fragments of eachother on the biological level. For example my father and I haven't talked in decades but according to my mom I am almost identical in behaviours, mannerisms, and paradigms as he was. My child is a true mini me and even has identical physical features to me down to a freckle on the exact same spot as me. So this topic doesn't surprise me at all.

It honestly feels like they found a quantum mechanics anomaly in their own head 🗣️ it's cool if you ask me 🤌
