DMT as first psychedelic

Has anyone done DMT before trying any other psychedelic?

Would it be a bad idea?

SWIM has introduced people to DMT which haven't had any kind of experience with any drug except alcohol. Just dose low at first and you will do great

I'd just start with some low doses after meditating for a while. You'll love it :d

I'm not sure if you plan on taking mushrooms, aya, cacti, or lsd anytime soon..but i'd get on that ASAP as well . They're amazing plants, and many of people get more integrative work done during the longer experience. Combing is great to once you get familiar with them alone..i get much more out of vaped dmt if i do it while on ayahuasca or mushrooms

I was just asking for the very same advice last week for my girlfriend. The best advice that was given me was that although nothing can really prepare one.for the.intensity of DMT, also nothing can prepare you.for.the length of other substances like L or Mescaline. I just started her off with a toke of some spice, she liked it so I waited about 45 minutes and gave her two fair sized tokes enough for a fairly powerful experience. She came back in tears, of joy that is. Just start low and work your way up, there's really no tolerance after about a half hour or so between trips to worry about.

In many ways I find DMT to be a more comfortable and safer feeling experience than with other psychedelics. This applies for ayahuasca too (I find it to be more comfortable than the others as well).

i would of rather had dmt as my first psychedelic than a salvia breakthrough right off the bat :shock: :lol: but i'd had a lot of experience with high doses of cannabis, so that was really my first psychedelic technically

Cannabis was my first, then shrooms, then MDMA, then LSD - there is no hard and fast rule, take what interests you - just make sure you know what you're getting into and you'll be fine

DMT is the only one I have ever done, period. As a child I had many opportunities but because of the fear campaigns I was subjected to I was under the assumption I would die and turn into an orange.

DMT was the first one I did, and its been the exact and utter opposite of everything I imagined it would of been based on the way society had made me think.

DMT should be fine as first one if one starts at LOW dose. And it's a plus that it's effects doesn't last for very long(for some newbs). For example 4 hour shroom trip as first journey might be too much for some.

SWIM told me they started on DMT. The shortness of the trip appealed more than if other compounds had been taken. Low doses were used, 5,15,20 mg. And dosing along the lines of 5,5,10,10,15,20,20,20,20,30.

Zoning in an an effective dose for breakthrough. Recently though SWIM has experimented with DMT infused herbs, and see the benefit of a smoother ride. Thus SWIM will wait now until they have some caapi vine and do an extraction of Harmalas so that a longer journey can be made.

First time I smoked DMT was probably the scariest moment of my life, and when the visuals kicked in I knew there was no going back. Thankfully, it was only a couple minutes, but if I would of been trapped in that state of mind for 4 hours I would probably not still be here lol. Ah to look back at myself when I first exposed my inner self, how I wa a child in a mans body.

Whenever I take acid, even when I'm "feeling good" there's still a bit of edge to it, and a lot of the times though it may be beautiful, it can be physically uncomfortable. I also feel like I can get emotionally bogged down easier as well. Shrooms as well can be largely uncomfortable for me too. With DMT, there's rarely any of that nonsense. With DMT I am most often quite comfortable both within and without my body. With DMT and harmalas, assuming there's no nausea or you've gotten the nausea out of the way, I have experienced the epitome of comfort. I even become more comfortable with the way I perceive myself in the mirror and internally. It's hard to say really. DMT for some reason just treats me a lot better than other psychedelics even though the effects are more intense.
