Dmt from psilocin

Is it possible to break psilocin down to dmt? Im just curius do to the fact that they are very similar chemically would it be possible with the addition of a chemical or two to psilocin them down to dmt by removal of the hydroxide?

I believe if this were possible no one would bother importring plants from other regions to extract we would all just be growing a never ending supply of mushrooms to keep some intact and others to synth DMT, I could be wrong but I doubt it highly from my readings I never saw any mention of it.

I know this is speaking from a place of chemical ignorance, but how can it really be that hard to remove a hydroxide group. Im sure synthetic chemist do stuff like this all the time with ease.

Its not really synthesis, to my knowledge the attitude expressed about synthesis is that it it isnt to be discussed how to start with chemical a and add 50 other chemicals to get to dmt. Because when dealing with such chemicals serious health and legal risk are at hand.

doubtful. but why would you want to?

psilocin may as well be orally active DMT as far as i am concerned.

and you can vape psilocybin, so there wouldn't really be need for anything more than a simple exctraction.

And with this you are crossing the line, If you mention HI you should have known that it is currently listed as a Federal DEA List I Chemical, that means it it a watched chemical.
