DMT: Light Sensitivity and Holograms

SWIM has noticed that during some of his trips his sensitivity to light is amplified by a very noticeable margin. By sensitivity SWIM does not mean any ill effects but rather it seems as though SWIMs vision is slightly altered. After blast off if SWIM keeps his eyes open he feels as though he can perceive light any many more spectra than possible while "sober".

SWIM also notices that if watching TV or a Movie while hyperspacing with his eyes closed the light from the TV is projected out in an odd manner. It is as if the light is being projected out into some hologram form directly in front of the TV... in other words, a hologram is suspended in mid-air just a few feet in front of the TV. SWIM finds these effects to be fascinating and reccuring more often than not.

I am new here and I'm new to spice so obviously one would be inclined to try DMT while doing different things. This "DMTV" (as you call it) is something new and fascinating and it's not like I do this every time I trip (probably 3-4 times out of the ~60 or so trips). I'm sorry that I made a thread about something I thought other psychonauts might find interesting. If you noticed my post was not solely talking about "doing DMT while watching TV" but also described the notion of light sensitivity being altered while in this altered mind state.

I'm sorry that this is "another DMTV" thread and next time I'll use the search more thoroughly before posting something so idiotic and stupid...

Hey my friend, light is definitely something special. I have seen many "new" types of light on my dmt trips. I often will seen an energy/light fling around objects, the room I usually smoke in the table usually always has a light show going off when I smoke. I also see lights, really strong lights, extrude from my body. I see entities who show me lights. I see lights for geometric shapes. I means, all sorts of things. I seen my chest open up like a mouth and out came a tongue of light that was whisteling into the wind. Strange.

Whoa strange indeed. I've seen some rather peculiar things while trippin but the tongue thing fascinates me. I've seen transparent and translucent floating probes dive into my body. I could really feel these probes swimming through my body.... I've seen lights fly out of body and then join into the fractal patterns that I was watching at the time... truly amazing though

I am new here and I'm new to spice so obviously one would be inclined to try DMT while doing different things. I see many people doing this, (more so in other forums) but I never understood why. SWIM stands for Someone Who Isn't Me
SWIY stands for Someone Who Isn't You
FOAF stands for Friend of a Friend

and saying things like "Yeah.... my cat was wondering if you could blah blah blah"

These terms are used so one isn't incriminated IF things were to happen that involves law enforcement and turning over records, concealing identity, etc... I also admit that using it is a bit much but better safe than sorry. I feel no ill will or anything towards house but I also feel like he could have approached my post with a different set of words, or a different tone (his post seemed a bit harsh, but we are grown ups here so no worries).

I'm rather careful with my lighter--seeing a bright flash of light from a bic right before blast-off has often had effect upon trip content. The afterminage of the bright flash of light becoming a main focus point of the trip, once hilariously, a couple of times annoyingly. The machine or a bong helps, the lighter being so far from my face, I don't get the after-image and all is groovy. A torch(blue flame lighter) would also help, but I personally just don't like torche.




About DMTV......sorry, but I too bristle at the thought. I'll maintain that this is not nessesarily because of dogma--perhaps it's catma. Do as thou wilt. (Crowley was of course refering to Wlll in the capitalised sense. Crowley wrote about things such as discovering one's True Will. Television is not widely regarded to being a useful tool to aid one in discovering their True Will.

My personal recomendation to anyone new to the spice is that it should be approached reverently.

My friend, I agree wholeheartedly.

My first 10 or so times journeying to the unknown realms I had the lights off, laying on my bed letting nothing but DMT, my mind body and soul, and the darkness of my closed eye lids, be the facilitators to my waking dream... the loveliness and intimacy was unmatched and I believe that when you approach something as powerful as spice you should approach her with the purest of intentions. After getting a familiarity with the spirit molecule, a new hyperspacer is bound to try new settings, methods, stimulations, while on this ride... it's only natural. I say that everytime that I have done spice I've done it with the utmost respect even when outside interferences were present... I feel if you have a good enough connection with spice, after a period of time, these "outside interferenses" are memories left behind... DMT takes you to a realm where these things are not needed... they are only there to remind you for when you get back... you are returning back to your dimension... sometimes that can be a welcoming feeling after breaking through to the other side. Kind of like sensory bread crumbs....bringing you back to where you started from... lol :lol:


No worries though... I fully understand and I would want newcomers to approach spice with full respect. This is not some party drug, this is not something you consume "just to pass the time", or because you are bored. DMT is a healer that shows you the truth... the truest of the truest. Our brains have been trained to perceive things a certain way. DMT gives you an entirely new perception you never knew existed... and you will live with this perception until the day you die. I fully believe that anyone that has done DMT is truly changed forever... and that's something profound in itself. It's like a rite of passage, a glimpse into a new plane of existence without a vessel, free and pure energy... universal vibrations.... the light of love and creation... nothing can even come close to the touch DMT gives you when you breakthrough to the other side... and I love DMT for it's trademark feel... inexplainable.

I think what you'll find is that if you stare at the TV or other surfaces, that you'll still get the hologram without the light of the tv.
