Since I recently started vaping DMT a bit, I've noticed some similar experiences in a few dreams. I don't normally remember my dreams, but at least some of them feel that way.
One, just last night, caught my attention. I don't remember most of the dream, but towards the end I was in a dark tunnel and apparently there were others there with me that wanted to go somewhere. There was a woman there who asked everyone "Does anyone have any questions about why things are repeating?" I mentioned that I did, because I feel as though I am trapped in cycles of negative emotions and don't know how to get out, but she just glared at me, didn't address me and said, "Does anyone have ACTUAL questions, and REALLY doesn't understand why things are repeating?" She seemed to be suggesting that I did know why things were repeating, but perhaps also knew that I couldn't do anything about it. : )
Anyway, we were all supposed to travel by jumping into a whale's mouth and letting it take us somewhere. It was a relatively small whale though, maybe killer whale size, and I was too afraid to jump in. I remember trying to close my eyes and just jump but nothing seemed to happen.
Anyway, either after the woman made her second comment, or after I couldn't get in the whale, I felt as though I was trapped in a cycle of sensation. Like, I was just following reflex after reflex, in and endless circle, hoping that something would change.
I guess that's a major theme of my life, but the actual sensation of being caught, helpless, in a cycle of sensations was extremely reminiscent of how DMT has felt to me on occasion.
Anybody relate?
