DMT salts e-juice mixing ratio

Hey folks,

I love the Idea of using DMT Salt because you'r not getting numbing lips, I don't have any throat hit as with usual PG/VG Mix and the taste is much better.

According to a this post DMT SALT E-JUICE
it's been suggested to use following Ratio :
1 part DMT FB
0.35 parts citric acid
2 parts PG
0.6 parts VG

In all my testings I found that the liquid is too viscous to be vaped and I got always a dry hit.
Working ratio for me is to add 1ml more PG to the E-Juice but then it's not that strong.

I'm using a VooPoo V.thru with 1,2ohm coil at 15w and the ratio that really

Does any one have the same issues?

Never had a dry hit because it is too viscous.

A couple suggestions:

- try 0 VG
- try 0 VG and +0.6 PG
- Make sure DMT is very clean. Electronic devices are more precise and sensitive than raw flame. Since you are saying that a little more PG makes the juice too weak (not the case for me) and it is too viscous (not the case for me), you may have some plant gunk in your DMT. Or maybe not, just a thought.

Hi, maybe your materiel is not the most suited for this use ? After a quick search about your box, I found out that there are 2 types of coils available for your cartridges. Try with the lower impedance one, the 0.7ohms cartridge/coil. Sub-ohm/low impedance coils are more suited for thick juices (VG dominant or thickened by DMT), and they usually have bigger holes to soak the wick. Not enough soaked wick often leads to dry hits, as the liquid could be quickly aerosolized without having the time to reload/soak the wick, especially with long puffs. I don't know how those carts you use are maid - so maybe I'm wrong - but I took a picture from the coils I use, SS316 0.3ohm vs meshed 0.6ohm for Veco tank, to illustrate this hole size thing (the 0.3 is the one I use for DMT juice, the 0.6 for daily nicotine vape). The one at the left with the bigger hole has the lowest impedance (0.3ohms). Other solution was given above : replace the VG from your mixture by PG. Keep in mind 100% PG will be harsher on the throat than mixed PG/VG or only VG. Also, the way you inhale has as much impact on the heat produced as the power you set up. The power must be set according to the way you inhale (quickly vs slowly). Did you already have success aerosolizing DMT with the same setting and material configuration ?

What I tried is to mix only VG30/PG70 Mix with Citric and this get's already to viscous ...
The DMT is of a great quality, I'm using it for over 2 years with usual 50/50 mix without any problems with the same vape.

I'll try the 0,7 but the holes looks like they have the same size but ...
As I mention in the previous reply I have great success with this setting and my DMT for the last 2 years.
I had only issues with yellow DMT, in the past 2 years I have amazing white DMT without any gun.
Only PG is to harsh on the throat :-( Even in the 50/50 mix there is still a throat hit that I don't like because I'm not smoking at all. This is what I really love by using DMT as salt.

I'm using my vape with the 1,2 Ohm Coil@15Watt and taking long, slow hits and always had to let some air between the lips because the vape is to dense If it was usual PG/VG mix and DMT 2ml Juice and 1G of DMT.
With the salt I don't have to let air in, because the vapor is much smoother.

Why is the citric acid necessary? You can't just dissolve the dmt in pg?
