DMT saved my life. I was a 40 year old man, and I was at the end of my rope. All my friends had gotten married and had children, and I was still single and alone. I didn't see much point in living anymore. I quit my job and withdrew my 401k with the intentions of burning through it all. Then, once it was gone, I was going to end my life. I decided I wanted to try as many things as I could before the end and after about a year of unemployment, I came across some DMT.
I sat back in my studio apartment alone, put on some Evanescence - My Immortal, and smoked my first DMT. It was unbelievable. While the visions were intense, I wasn't in another place, I was still in my apartment. I did have what I would call and emotional breakthrough though. There was a feeling of a presence, I felt as if I wasn't alone anymore. I just felt so loved and the music was just so unbelievably beautiful. I've never been so happy.
I did do quite a bit of research before trying it, and it seems a lot of people have a fear of going back to DMT. I didn't experience this. What I feel is a strong desire to go back, but along with that there is a guilt. I feel like I stole something, something I hadn't earned yet, something beautiful, something worth waiting for, something worth living for. This is by no means meant to discourage anyone from trying it, and it did save my life. If you find yourself in a similar situation I'd say go all in. If I ever find my self at the end of my rope again, I know I will.
