DMT Tek Concerns (Acacia confusa)

Swim has been looking at DMT teks on and off for the past year or so, and has come to many different conclusions as to what the best method is. He has never extracted DMT before, but is somewhat familiar with the science behind it. He is not a chemist by any means, but has a basic understanding of chemistry.

Anyway, swim's current favorite is Marsofold's tek, due to the simplicity of it. Most teks assume at least some level of chemistry knowledge is present in the readers, and tend to trail off on subjects swim has no experience with. This confuses swim, as he likes to keep things simple and clear, with well-defined boundaries between steps.

Also, swim does not have access to MHRB! He can only get Acacia confusa, which swim thinks would be harder to extract from, due to all the NMT and oils, fats, etc.

Swim would like to know if Marsofold's tek would work on A. confusa, with 31.5% HCl (How can he dilute this correctly?) used as the acid. He would also like to know a better method for the wash, as most people seem to agree that ammonia washing isn't effective.

Swim isn't in the position to go about doing this right away, and probably won't be for at least a month or so, maybe longer. But he would still like to know!

This is incredible!! 2.85% !!! This has to be some kind of record. I guess ACRB may have more spice than MHRB, but this likely varies from batch to batch. Excellent work deadhor5.

Cyb, That 3% treasure chest is so close I can smell the spice already.

haha yes! i know my bark is very well sourced, fresh, and sustainably harvested, so that could have a lot to do with it. however, even if i do hit 3%, its likely that as much as half of it is nmt... :/

True, but thats just another experiment for you to explore. NMT is highly psychoactive, and will add to the experience in some way. The plant has offered you what it wants you to have. Running a re-x will reduce that ratio slightly as crystals like to be pure, but the similarity of the molecules makes seperating them very difficult. I wish NMT fumarate was soluble in acetone, that would allow for a very easy seperation, unfortunately I don't believe this is the case.

Just managed to squeeze out another 350 mg of VERY clean yellowish spice from the naphtha i used in the first and 4th pulls bringing my total yield to just over 3%. i am officialy beyond content. however that was out of only 4 pulls.... it might even be possible to get 3.5%+

Acacia confusa might not just be the alternative to mimosa, it could blow it completely out of the water!

   ...Wring it dry my man...😉

Next time i shall! im still kicking myself for foolishly tossing the soups after doing the fourth pull -___- rookie mistake XD

Once again cyb, id like to thank you for your excellent tek, your quick responses, and your eagerness to help :] none of this would have been possible for me without you and CTM.

If i were to do an 8 hour heated acid soak in a crock pot, would there be any danger in removing it from the crock pot and allowing it to sit for 24 hours+ before going tot he basification? Keep in mind its been sitting in this acidic solution for at least 24-48 hours prior to the heating in the freeze/thaw stage. also with 80 ml of vinegar, 180 ml of water and 52 grams of root bark my ph strips are reading a Ph of 2, thats ideal right?

Sounds OK...the alks aren't going to slink back into the broken cells to hide...they should happily float around in the acidic mix in salt form until basing time....
:)

So wait is this method uniquely for Acacia or would this be a good extraction for Mimosa too? SWIM is mostly curious about the salt stage.
