DMT won’t extract second time

Hi everyone excited to be here and excited to try my first DMT trip.

Let me give a little view of what I’ve done and see what maybe I’ve done wrong.

Started with 750l water, 50g lye, 50g hostilis bark. Shook for about 40 mins stopped now and then to release pressure.

Added 50ml naphtha shook up and put in crock pot with water around 150 degrees Fahrenheit, every 10 mins I swirled for aboit 40mins then the final 20mins I let sit to separate.

Long story short I got 325mg so far.


Now to the issue. I have 50g of bark left so I repeated the same process as before. But the only difference is I mixed this new batch up with the old batch.

10yrs later in the freezer I see a cloud in the naphtha but it won’t crystallize does it need more freeze time?

Did adding the second batch to the old batch cause a reaction to not happen because the water didn’t get as hot as the first time.

So the only thing I did different was add combining the second batch with the first then repeated all the steps again. Added the old 50ml or naphtha bakc in and another 50ml for the second batch I added in.

Hope this isn’t confusing fast typing on break at work. And sorry for posting on wrong area maybe? One I got more time today I am going to explore the site in full!

Nice that you already have 325mg - it's a bit low, but more than 0.5% so in the ballpark of a successful extraction. And it's enough for ~10 nice trips.

More freeze time might do the trick. I would let it sit until it had at least 24h before trying something else.

If there's still no crystals after 24h, first thing i'd try is to evaporate about half of the naphtha, then repeat the freezing with the remaining half. It's possible that it's just not saturated enough.

I don't think adding the new batch to the old one is a problem, but not really sure. Personally i always reuse the naphtha, but never combined the watery portions of different batches.

Yeah I should have did a separate batch but can’t take it bakc lol haha.. to evaporate the naphtha just set in a room with the lid off?

Also forgot to weigh what is in my coffee filter so good chance I needed up with 350mg ish haha
 
I put it in a small mason jar and put a coffee filter over the top. How long should I leave in room? Just don’t want to damage just wondering how long to try and freeze again or what else to try?
