Does a tree age matters?

hello, i was thinking about extracting from an acacia tree, but the on i found is 2 meters high, even though these trees will grow to 15-20 meters.

so my question is, would i be able to get the same amount of crystals per gram of bark from the young not fully grown tree as i will get from the more mature tree?

I'm no expert, but I would assume that a fully mature plant would have a higher alk content than something I'd still call a sapling.


Content can also vary greatly between specimens..

I've been looking for plants that I can sustainability harvest.
