like a idiot i failed to do my homework prior to smoking last night. I took 100mg caapi powder and mixed it in a glass and drank it with 2 vitamin c pills. I also mixed in a pill of melatonin in the mess and drank that too at the same time. I waited 45 minutes, lite the pipe and zoomed off pretty deep. However i was immediatly confronted by the dmt entites and told this trip will go no further than that they must purge everything from my system immediatly...like every last drop. so THANK GOD i was outside in my lounge chair and i just started puking the mixed water concoction i drank earlier out, and like they said it honestly felt like every last drop. What was strange was that i didnt have the typical horrible nausea feeling that usually comes before a normal vomit.... it almost felt natural, good, and clean to get it out.

SO what did i do wrong? I was thinking the caapi and melatonin would help my trip last alot longer smoking, as I had taken a similiar mix orally.

I should also add that i was drinking last night but do not at all feel the alcohol caused the nausea...

when i woke up i physically felt like a million bucks, but the nausea continued throughout the day all day.

caapi can make you puke, yes, but so can mixing alcohol with everything else like you did...

also, what do you mean with 'caapi powder' ? Is it some extract or just powdered caapi vine? If its caapi vine, as fractal asked, usually one brews and filters it out.

In any case I think the message of cleaning yourself out is interesting. Are you taking care of your eating habits in your daily life? Are you going in the experience with well established intentions? What about the alcohol mixing, maybe thats also unwanted in your body? etc

I think it's interesting that you feel like alcohol was not the cause of your nausea. Personally, when I read what you have reported, I see the effects of caapi, both acute and residual, with some signs of alcohol hangover mapped onto them. I mean, the natural purge that you described was probably from the caapi (as you said, there was no nausea and it felt good; the purge is incredibly cleansing). With Ayahuasca, I find my sessions do not truly begin until after I have purged. It's kind of like the physical gateway, for my experiences. You say, the next morning you felt great physically but were still nauseous. To me that sounds like you had residual nausea from the alcohol, but were still feeling the incredible afterglow that mama Aya leaves you with. I'd suggest giving it a try while alcohol free and seeing what happens. Even if you do purge again, this time you'll be prepared for what happens and you may find there's no nausea the next day.

As to the purge...

Thats odd..why mix this stuff with alcohol in the first place? Harmalas and alcohol is like nausea waiting to happen..

I wouldn't try too hard to pin down what is making you puke. Sure I would agree that you should stay well away from alcohol etc but as soulfood mentioned purging is a lot different to simply puking all over the place.

I would embrace the message and associate the purge next time to a truly cleansing experience.

Any time I purge I go straight from hazy nausea to a feeling of having a bucket of ice cold water thrown in my face :) ...and I enjoy it!

i never "purge" from alcohol anymore... i'm not trying to sound cocky but i really know my limits, and felt 100% fine when i came home. It was only immediatly after taking the caapi power that i felt sick. I'm stupid apparently as i had no idea i was supposed to brew the power. Exactly how does one brew the power? I've never made tea and dont drink coffee so i'm a newbie there.

and yes the caapi felt like puking evil out

One thing is drinking alcohol by itself. The other thing is drinking alcohol and then taking psychedelics. I think its quite possible that the caapi/harmalas/dmt have made you purge in great part because of the alcohol presence in your system.

Again I ask, what are you talking about when saying caapi powder... You mean the caapi vine itself, or is it some extract?

When I brewed ayahuasca, I had a residual nausea throughout the experience, but I also used syrian rue as opposed to caapi. You ask what you did wrong, but psychedelics, particularly the maois can be notorious for inducing nausea. You also seem to be mixing a lot of things together which probably can't be healthy

With a strong dose of harmalas you can feel nauseous throughout the next day. Granted, 100mg isn't a particularly strong dose, but coupled with melatonin it is possible that it got potentiated by quite a bit.

I've never purged from alcohol...throwing up from alcohol poisoning is no purge, imo. Also, as this was your first experience combining caapi and alcohol, I'd suggest listening to others who may be aware of the manner in which these two substances interact before determining that your alcohol consumption played no role in your nausea. Harmalas can leave residual nausea, but your report doesn't make it osund like that's what happened, at least to me.
