Does melting the spice effect the nature of the experience

Migrated topic.

the difference isnt that much...if anything it might be slightly more powerful..but i cant think of a scientific reason why that would be..but have experienced it

I have read somewhere that a guy had some left over melted spice in his pipe and thought he was going to have a light experience and it turned into the most powerful experience of his life... can't remember where i read it, but the dude sounded a bit shook up by it. I think it was more because he wasn't mentally prepared for a full breakthrough. Maybe when melted it looked a lot less than it actually was...

Did anyone happen to sample what you recovered from the pipe and if so what did they think?
I get this condensation product if using the simple test tube method (sucking up the vapors from a glass test tube through a thin tube, like using a straw). There is a danger of 'chasing the dragon' if the flame is too small... following the condensed spice with the flame takes too long and requires too much concentration.

But it is DMT, purified by distillation - very smooth imho! Usually it looks like a larger amount than it actually is, but why not scrape it out or dissolve in acetone once in a while. Every mg is precious ;)

Yes, I've noticed this for a long time. I frequently will recrystalize my spice only to melt the entire thing down. The experience, for whatever, reason, at the exact same dosage, is much more powerful. Put 100mgs or so in a mason jar or cup and stick it in a bowl of pretty hot water...let the spice melt completely and stick the jar in the freezer until the spice is solid again.

Try it out. I've never head of anyone else testing this theory out. I'd really like someone else's verification that my experience can be duplicated in others.

Hmmm, SWIM ALWAYS melts his spice to the bottom of his vaporizer test tube and lets it solidify before smoking. SWIM does this because it prevents the spice from dancing away when he tries to vape it.

SWIM finds 30 mg to be a consistent break through dose, and 50 mg to be a don't-expect-to-remember-anything mind crushing dose.

He wonders if this is a manifestation of this phenomenon.

I always conjectured that the heating/cooling process somehow oxidized the residue, whether or not that's true SWIM has also experienced increased potency in residue.

So does anyone wonder if when they put in a 30mg toke, are they really getting 30mg or 60mg? SWIM cleaned his bowl a night after some big doses, thought it would be relatively clean, but SWIM broke through and happened to have his head bashed into a toilet at 1000mph by a crossdressing clown that turned into the stick figure woman from the females bathroom signs.....
