does sitting time in acid cause loss of yield?

I was just wondering if anyone knew, does allowing mhrb to sit in the acidified solution, or the naptha, for too long (longer than normal) cause any significant loss of yield?

I got my first bag of mhrb today, I wanna get this done with my friend before he goes to work tomorrow and stuff. but I figured if we could leave off at some point and pick back up later, it would make things less complicated and we wouldn't have to rush the process. I figure the sitting time in the acidified solution or naptha would reach maybe 24 hours at most.

Idk about a loss of yield in the acid but your spice definatly will not deplinish in the solvent.
