Dogma

Migrated topic.

Some people believe plants have spirits;
Some people believe that they don't;
Neither opinion is dogma.
Dogma only exists when upon asserting or insinuating that their opinion is objective fact;
Dogma only exists when you say that the view held by another is wrong.

A religious belief is not inherently dogma;
to believe that plants have spirits does not equate to pushing your ideas on someone else.

It is equally dogmatic to question someone else's belief in the supernatural as it is for someone to try to convince another of spirit.

Please- let's keep the discussion around this topic respectful.

Two distinct paradigms exist on this site and various other "drug" forums:
That of believing in spirit;
That of believing in reductive science.
Both viewpoints are valid;

Both viewpoints contribute something meaningful and useful to creating a better future for all of us, especially when they work together and acknowledge complementariness over conflict.

What's more important than who is right is that we work together with mutual respect and love.

Sorry this is an all dutch link but for those who understand this is a 1 hour worthwhile lecture about the OP, don't cut out too fast and go for the full pls.
Referring here to the lecture of Ir. Joop Smits, scroll down for it.
The other sessions are worth seeing too, but regarding OP the one of Joop Smits stands out.
I have reservations (that is natural) but it is soo well brought forth making it worth going trough it. (I did not know Masaru Emoto's works was at least once reproduced but from there lacks for better peer reviewing.)

The lecture, coming from a noetic science approach, they try to forge-bridge the duality stances that are presented in the OP.

I hope you like investing some time in watching it.
