my name is Keith and I am 52 yrs old, I am new to DMT extraction but very excited. I have made most of the common mistakes so far in my education. The biggest and most wasteful and time consuming mistake will make some laugh, some cry and some shake their heads. The funny thing is that this mistake forced me to question EVERYTHING I was doing and I believe will make me better in the long run. So, by now your asking yourself , Exactly what did this guy do so wrong? You ready for this? You might want to sit down first. After searching long and hard to source MHRB , I thought I had stumbled on the super secret, super cheap source and I was gonna get bang for the buck. I kept reading and shopping . Mimmosa Root Bark Extract Powder, 10:1 30:1 Mimmosa Root Bark Extract POwder. I pulled out the credit card and locked in , dont laugh, 5 KG. Yup I wasnt messing around , 5KG baby. I tried A/B vinegar and LYE. I tried Freeze and thaw STB. I matchged gram for gram MHRB Powder to LYE. I started small, 100g MHRB batches. I blamed my freezer. it must not be cold enough. I blamed the freezer EVAP unit. ( so I bougt a roll of aluminum tape to patch freezer holes.) I blamed my precipitate pans, believing that they were not glass or pyrex and therefore would explain why solvent was seeping through them. I bought a deep freezer capable of freezing to minus 31 celcius. Still nothing . I almost gave up. I decided it must be my source MHRB powder so I bit the bullet and bought a single KG of powder that cost more than the 5 previous KG's including thge shipping all the way from CHINA. Its OK you can laugh now its ok. CHINA?! CHINA?! Yes my friends CHINA. Somehow I had convinced myself that there were factorys in CHINA that were growing a plant normally only seen in Mexico and Brazil. Anyone figure it out yet? IF not I'll tell you now . Yes, I had purchased Mimmos Root Bark Powder Extract, but not HOSTILLAS. IT WAS PUDIA. PUDIA . NOTE TO SELF ....THERE IS NO DMT IN PUDIA. One 200g powder batch that yielded over 1.5g of DMT on the first try with the NEW MHRB powder was all it took to prove my issue had been my source all along. Funny thing is Im not upset about it. After all the failures I had much practice and experience with the basic lab techniques. I could decant with the best of you, no longer afraid of getting a little water layer into my collected and pulled solvent, I could just pour off the desired solvent using a lab beaker with the little lip on it. Yeah ,Im a real pro at this point.One final comment .....You havent really lived yet untill you tried heating a 2000ml Flask by placing it directly on an electric stove plate. Picture this. Hot Plate is plugged in and sitting on topof my closed toilet bowl lid. I grab the flask out of the closet where it sat over night. I was gonna warm it and then add warm solvent. Then......the souund.....the sound......CRACK.....oh no.....what have I done. I grabbed the flask at the neck as fast as I could. The shower door was 2 feet away and open, I might just make it........NO close but not close enough. The bottom dropped out of that flask as an almost perfect circle just inches from the shower , I didnt make it. Splash, crack, burn. The bathroom looked like something out of an episode of C.S.I. if that is human blood was that brilliant shade of purple we all know so well. I hope that you enjoyed my struggles and perhaps it will save you from doing the same.I have a question about Acid and base combinations but Ill look around this fourm for the proper place to post it. I have seen Vinager and LYE TEks. I have seen pool acid and LYE TEKs. Im curious however about the following. Coulld I use Muriatic acid and then lime powder to base? question 2 Which acid ( of the 4 common) gives the best yields and are there sone that only work with lye and some only with LIME Powder?
