Looking good, your 2 bottles I would do a couple pulls on each with warm solvent. It looks pretty cloudy (solvent), that's a good sign. As for cooking I'm not sure as I don't do that method, I can't tie my stove up for hours and hours. I know the steps but I'm sure others that do that method can give you better advice on recooks. My only suggestion would be next time do a smaller batch instead of full kg until you find a process your comfortable with. Other than that them xtals look quite clean and ready to smoke. Thank you!!! Im evapping down a recook. The concentration of this next one looks incredible really. But we will see. Reducing to smaller vessels and warming naptha worked for me. Also im sure that a lot of the goo you get from the mini ab settles and sticks on the surface of the dish. Looking like lil droplets of water. was able to pour it off. Wipe the dish clean. And put it back in before freezing. Really helped i think

You probably could but as I don't do acid cooks then I can't be totally for sure on that. I just had some left over from a job so I'm using it up slowly as it doesnt take much. Need good ventilation because it stinks like battery acid when I'm adding it to my water to do the mini a/b, then after rebasifing it I save the basic solution to break down the next batch because it's pretty clean. My ratio is 10ml per 250ml of water, plenty strong.

Last time i checked it was pH 2, normally don't check anymore. As for yield i think it's just the bark, I've had much lower yields doing it exactly the same way every time. :thumb_up:

I just startet with the first few steps of the tek today and after the basification-phase, I ended up with this (see picture). Is this the unwanted emulsion?
(Sorry for the bad quality.)
Now I am asking myself if the heatbath was to warm or/and I shaked the solvents too much. :?
Do you think, that I can still make the pulls and get the alkaloids or better make a new solvent and drop this one?

Heat usually helps to break down/limit emulsions. Time will take care of it and I've had some success with rocking and swirling the solution gently.
Hi, I had a question on the clean up stage after pulls from bark. When adding pulls to acidic water, it did not turn cloudy white. Was wondering if maybe something was done wrong. Tek was followed as posted. final pulls was evaporated slightly and then put in to freezer for 18 hrs. I continued to leave in freezer hoping for more crystals to form. Should pulls be left in freezer for longer period of time or maybe pull out and completely evaporate with a fan or would that make a difference?

You're acidic water won't change to white it's only wen adding basic water to the mini it'll change .....18 hrs is around long enough:thumb_up:GreyWolf said:
Ok. took out and sitting front of fan atm. yield was small and was hoping for more fluff. That's ok tho. My guess it maybe the quality of bark and will continue on perfecting for greater results.

i ended up running a half key again, but still havent gotten to 1% yield yet, and im very careful. for my dishes to look like EW's 100g xtract. i have to do a 500g xttract. but im still glad i had this spice in my life. need better trees lol,tydel24 said:

Don't feel to bad tydael24 as I've only been getting a little -1% of late .... I think it's done to the season of year it is not the age of the doner trees , but that's just a guess ..:dtydel24 said:

It does but at 100g extractions the waiting for the three freeze thaws is hardly worth it with a boost of 0.2% at the max , now 1kg or higher its def worth the extra mile .....:thumb_up:GreyWolf said:
