Hello friends,
finally I finished my first run and ended up with 0.2g from 50g ACRB.
Now I have some questions about my final product:
+Are the orange discolourations from fats/oils which made it through the clean up?
+Everything dried up well except this orange parts which stay a little sticky. Can I still vaporize them or are there any harmful particals in it?

Looks nice :thumb_up: yep you can still vape the sticky stuff. Some even have intense trips with it. Including myself. It may be fats, NMT, DMT N-oxide, it's just a full spectrum spice.
I'm back at it again y'all. Does anybody agree with the darker your reduced cooks compliments a better yield. I'm gonna try to fit it all into about 6 1 liter colt 45 bottles. Has anyone had problems with reducing too much.
Also I'm not too meticulous when adding salt. I basically just throw a bunch of salt in boiling water to dissolve and divide it into my vessels. I'm going to make a thread and show u my process in better detail today.

Has anyone tested say 250g of material instead of 100g with the same volumes of liquids?
Just finished up another 100g extraction today of ACRB. Looks to be around 2g of white spice - Always do a mini a/b.

Last time I extracted I put in 150g and I reckon I yielded slightly more.
I was thinking that if you modified the recipe to make better use of the "top up with water" volumes, then you could theoretically move some water volumes around to create more headroom in the acidification and base steps correct?
On this 100g recipe you have 600ml of water to play with by step 2. And probably another 200ml to top off the base.
Maybe something along the lines of (2LT Vessel)
1. 250g bark mixed with 1L water - enough hydro acid to bring it to 2-3ph. Probably 15-20ml.
2. 400ml water + NaCl (no top up - omit to step 3)
3. 50-60g NaOH + 500ml water (option to top up 50ml depending on volumes of NPS)
Takes us to 1900-1950ml.
Should be 50-100ml left for naphtha pulls dependent on step 3.
I actually have no reason to want to extract that much, but I'm curious about whether shifting these water volumes around would yield the product? Ie, maximum amount of product for minimum volumes of fluids.

Looking nice tydel, how much bark you use, and what was final yield?:thumb_up:
2 kilos. So really that's not that impressive. But I suppose its not the best bark. That dish ended up being bout 4.my mini ab is still full of it though. And more with my other pulls. And not to mention the recook. And for the record this is not commercial. My bark has low yields

I'll answer my own question. Yes it is entirely achievable. 250g of bark yielded 4.93g of fluffy white spice in a 2lt bottle with the volumes of water moved and optimized to maximize the yield.
There would have been 200mg of spice stuck to crystallization dishes that I couldn't be bothered scraping out, so 2% yields are completely achievable.
The recipe went like this.
1. 20ml of HCl to 1.25lt of water (gave 1.97pH)
2. 250g of ACRB to vessel, add acidic solution, agitate well before leaving overnight, heat bath 1 hour in morning ~40-50deg C
3. Add 90g NaCL in 400ml of boiling water dissolve and add to mix, agitate. Then base.
4. 65g NaOH in 300ml of water added to the mix slowly -emphasis on slowly!(lots of heat produced)
5. Left base on a heat bath for 3 hours (12.57pH) - ~40-50 deg Celsius.
6. Did 4 pulls with heated naphtha into a Mini/AB that yield gave 3.67g
Went back the next day, dropped the pH of the soup to 11.5-11.6. Did 2 more pulls + mini A/B. Yielded a further 1.26g.
Total Yield 4.93g + stuff that I couldn't be bothered scraping off.

I haven't been cooking/reducing or anything to that nature. Just an acid soak overnight while I sleep (agitate it a few times before bed) and a quick 1 hour bath in the morning at around 40-50C, agitating lightly. You can literally boil a kettle and drop it in a pot and away you go. I was trying to focus on the efficiency of the extraction process. Turned out just fine. I'd be interested to try 500g in 2lt of water total, but I really don't have a desire to have that much end product. I'm sure it'd work fine given the dry teks.
