Materials Needed:
Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark Powder
Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)
Fresh Organic Mint Leaves
White Distilled Vinegar
190 Proof Grain Alcohol (Everclear or Golden Grain)
Distilled H2O
Several coffee filters
Procedure:
Step 1: Sodium Bicarbonate Conversion
Spread the sodium bicarbonate on a cookie tray and bake in the oven at 400 Degrees for 1 hour. This process will yield Sodium Carbonate, a much stronger, yet harmless base.
Step 2: Mint Leaf Dehydration (Skip this step if you intend to smoke the freebase)
Thoroughly soak mint leaves in distilled H2O to remove any dust particles and place on cookie tray. Set the oven to 180 degrees and bake for approximately 20 minutes until they are dry.
Step 3: DMT freebase extraction
1) Mix the Mimosa powder with excess sodium carbonate (obtained in step 1) and add enough distilled water to make a paste.
2) Let it soak for about 1 hour in the container and shake like your life depends on it whenever possible.
3) Remove the paste from the container and spread in a wide dish/pan and let it dry.
Step 4: 3x Ethanol Pulls
1) Add enough alcohol to the powder for it to be immersed. Place in container and shake every 20 minutes or whenever possible.
2) Let it soak for at least 1 hour.
3) Filter out the ethanol using a coffee filter. Let the ethanol evaporate.
4) Meanwhile, soak the powder that remains in the filter with more ethanol just like in part 1 and 2
5) Repeat part 4
6) Mix all of the alcohol from the 3 pulls together and let it all evaporate
7) A reddish/brown waxy material should be left over
Step 5: Acidification
1) Dissolve the reddish/brownish waxy material in warm white distilled vinegar and filter it with a coffee filter.
2) Discard the filter.
Step 6: Neutralization
1) Add excess sodium carbonate to the vinegar. The solution should “bubble” (CO2 gas).
2) Spread the paste on a plate and let it dry.
Step 7: Final DMT extraction
1) Pull the powder from part 4 in step 6 with ethanol again just like in step 4, except it is not necessary to repeat the procedure 3 times. Once is enough.
2) Filter out the Sodium carbonate and let the ethanol evaporate.
3) You should be left with a whitish crystalline solid. This is the freebase DMT
Step 8: Enhancing the Mint
1) Re-dissolve the DMT in some ethanol and add the dried mint leaves. Let it soak for about 1 hour and let it evaporate.
2) You now should have DMT-enhanced mint that you can you for smoking.
